So you are telling me that these two aren’t canon when:
one has their birth flower as a ‘Forget-Me-Not’ (Vanitas) while the other is an aster meaning ‘I’ll never forget you’ (Noe)
their respective birth stones are of each other’s colour theme (Vanitas = Amethyst (purple), Noe = Sapphire (Blue)
the anime OP has Vanitas (and Murr) babysitting Noe on a Paris tourist spree for the day
That Noe’s cat (Murr) actually likes Vanitas (as far as in the omake shows Murr chilling with Vani)
the anime ending frames them in a ‘star-crossed lovers’ fashion with Noe reaching for Vanitas’ hand
the lyrics of the Opening and Ending Themes are questionably not very platonic
They had a ‘dance of romance’ where they talk about what love is
Go from ‘I don’t like you’ to bickering about putting themselves in danger for the other (and the scene above)
Literally watching the sunrise together
Every scene where Noe talks about being or just working together, Vanitas gives in each and every time ??????
That scene about ‘I’ll never set you free’ ;-;
Noe’s protective hug in Memoire 54 around Vanitas
Noe’s incredibly intimate observations about Vanitas’s emotional constipated antics
And whatever the **** this is

the fact that this entire series is of one dude writing all about he learned with his journey of the other… and named it after ‘him’

Vanitas’s & Noé’s birth flower
Vanitas’s birthday is February 7th and his birth flower is “forget-me-not”; whereas Noé, his birthday in September 28th, birth flower as asters/shion, has a meaning of “I will never forget you.“
