Despite some massive successes, it's kinda funny how bad Valve can be at making stuff. Not just because their company structure resulting in tons of projects that never go anywhere, I mean the stuff that comes out.

Back before Half-Life 2 and Source came out, Valve had been hyping up the modding toolkit they'd been making. There were so many Half-Life mods like Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat out there, it only made sense to support that kind of community creativity.

Then HL2 came out and it turned out the Source toolkit was incredibly user-unfriendly hot garbage.

Then Valve noticed all the fun people were having with Garry's Mod, even making animated videos with it like the Gmod Idiot Box. So they thought they'd support that and made Source Film Maker, which also turned out to be incredibly user-unfriendly hot garbage.

The existence of Jimmy John’s is so bizarre to me. $20 for a fucking roast beef sandwich? “FREE SMELLS” signs as if you cook jack shit, when all you do is slap lettuce and cold cuts together?
