In the halls of splendor, where shadows lingered long, Stood a king of grace, in sorrow's gentle song. Cyrus Leonhardt, tall and fair of sight, A crown of burdens, woven with starlight.

Long brown locks, like rivers of dusk, Cascaded down, in a silent, solemn husk. His kindness, a beacon in the darkest night, Yet beneath his smile, lay a kingdom's plight.

With each decree, a heavy toll, As burdens of the crown took their toll. For in his heart, a sorrow deep, A king's lament, he could not keep.

Though his people adored, and his kingdom thrived, Within his soul, a lonely divide. For kingship's mantle, heavy and cold, Weighed upon him, as stories untold.

Tears unshed, in the depths of blue, As Cyrus yearned for skies anew. But duty bound him to the throne, A king's sorrow, silent and alone.

So in the quiet of the night, He'd gaze upon the starry light. Longing for a world where pain could cease, Where he could find a moment's peace.

But alas, his fate was sealed, In a kingdom's heart, his sorrow revealed. For though he ruled with kindness rare, Cyrus Leonhardt, still bore despair.

she’s in the garden elbow deep in weeding.

The King fully invested this attention in a book of strategies as he ambled throughout his Kingdom. Shimmering teal hues scanned each line as his mind relayed the information. " I never would have thought of that... "he whispered under his breath. " Alaric, you undoubtedly are a master of war." Cyrus complimented as his thumb and pointer finger clasped the edge of the page and turned it. "Marvelous --!! " he boasted, nearly fangirling but coughing straight after; teal hues took a peek around to see if any of his servants had caught a glimpse of such a sight ( which wasn't rare, This is how the King is.) A couple of giggles escaped some of the maids doing their duties diligently. They bowed their heads in respect once Cyrus looked at them, a soft chuckle still vibrating within their throats. " Can you blame me, Ladies? A commander such as-- " He pauses; he was going to start geeking out again, wasn't he? No! " Have a day full of wonder, won't you?" & with that, he walked off -- exiting out into the outside corridor that connected to the garden. The air filled with a wave of different scents and how kindly they greeted him. The garden grew in confidence once his new wife had arrived. She spent most of her time in two places he can recall; The library & the garden. A woman of intellect & harboring a green thumb were two fine qualities. Cyrus continued his evening stroll through the massive garden when the tip of his toe hit an object, along with a few grunting and rummaging sounds that caught his attention. Peering away from his book, he saw the woman, his wife, fighting her battle with those accursed weeds. "My, my... "Cryus said, proclaiming his presence. " How long have you been out here, My Queen?" He can openly say he admires her determination and consistency in abolishing those vile weeds. Who needs royal gardeners when his Wife is better than all 8 of the previous ones?
