Wow...been a long time since I made a post here.
So as to why. Well...a year or two ago this account got deleted in a purge. I complained to Tumblr but it took them MONTHS to restore this.
So...I made a new account. And instead of losing what I made there: I decided to just stay there.
So for anyone who cares: I'm @kob131 now.

Happy international men’s day!
If you are a man, please make sure to get yourself checked out for breast cancer, prostate cancer, and any others that you may be at risk for. In general, try and remember if you’ve seen your doctor recently, and reflect on how you’ve been feeling the past year. Any chances physically or mentally? If you are mentally ill, have you noticed any symptoms worsening? Your health is important.
If you are not a man, please make sure to check up on the men in your life and make sure that they are doing well. Many men won’t speak out about certain issues, and while you shouldn’t pry it out of them, try and keep an eye on worrying behaviors so that you can step in in case of a crisis.
Many people won’t talk about the problems men face. Don’t let yourself be one of them. Speak out for men’s health and well being.
-Sedusa

Daww, how sweet
Just got back from an anime convention with my mom and I gotta say, there is nothing in this world that can even compare to the embarrassment of having to explain to your mother what the terms hentai and aheagao mean.

Let’s be honest the real problem with the Brothers Grimm is now the RWBY fandom won’t stop forcing comparisons between them and whoever((and that’s not even getting to the damn Salem and whoever comparisons))
Exactly.
“Wow the Brothers Grimm are just like Bumbleby!” You couldn’t have picked two worse people to compare your OTP to. They’re two assholes who treated a woman poorly and then acted like they weren’t personally culpable for the result and decided to commit genocide while leaving said woman in what was essentially millennia of solitary confinement.
“Salem is just like Adam!” hey? Shut up? Adam is pretty firmly established to be an entitled bastard who never truly loved Blake while Salem at least loved Ozma and was fighting back the “desire for pure destruction” for centuries just so she could start a family with him before everything went to hell. Do you think Adam would’ve pleaded with the gods to bring Blake back if she died?
Yeah, the comparisons are stupid.

Dude, I have damn near 200 asks in this inbox I haven’t answered.
Sometimes I don’t feel like answering right away, sometimes I lose interest, sometimes I’m busy with something else.
I don’t even know WHICH ask you’re referring to.

The thing I find funny about She-Ra is that there is supposedly a character on the evil side who resembles Jaune from RWBY and it’s got all the Jaune antis from the RWBY fandom excitedly taking their anti Jaune bullshit into that show. Like we get it, you don’t like Jaune and that’s fine, but that’s not a personality
Well guess i’ll see for myself but uh...
Between the introduction of sci fi and fantasy magic with no explanation on either side for it, the characters whose dialogue switches between attempted classical style with universal speech patterns and tones of voice and more modern dialogue with more energy and more modern personalities and ways of speaking, the main two characters so far (Amora and Catra) having a conflicting relationship of strained agreement/friendly rivalry (and not meshing well at all) and numerous aspects being unexplained while being casually thrown around like we’re suppose to know them: I’m not having high hopes.
Granted I haven’t even watched the full first episode yet so this is just first impressions but I can’t help but remember how things like ATLA, Percy Jackson and even fucking RWBY managed to do this shit better in their first episodes and just feel down.

I feel like the more people try and say that She-Ra is good is because they have a lesbian couple the more I’m convinced that’s all it’s got running for it.
For fucks sake-
Am I gonna have to watch and review that show just to know how to tell people ‘gay =/= good’?

A. No, the narrative doesn't. It portrays her as at fault for her actions, not being evil. Mind you, the way Salem is treated is very different than how Adam or Jacques are treated, two characters openly shown to be evil.
B. Where did you get the idea of Salem thinking there was still good people? Her actions nor the information given show that. it just shows her being selfish which, considering her life, is perfectly reasonably.
C. Yeah the thing is. Not only is a single human insignificant to the perspective of a god (for reference, if your fictional characters demanded you bring back the person who died you wouldn’t do it) but even though the gods ARE portrayed as jackasses...they’re gods. They have no one to answer to but themselves. Of course there’s going to be a double standard. Hell, this is a REOCCURING THEME in human mythology dating all the way back to Ancient Greek Mythology with some interpretations of the Athena and Arcanne myth among others.
D. I should point out that she directly lied to BOTH immortal deities to try and defy the laws of nature. I get that she had a shitty life but so do a lot of people. Most people in fact. That doesn’t make you owed a break or anything. Especially to gods who have probably been asked these things numerous times. Everyone remember the myth of Orpheus and Eudicacye? Yeah, the guy was lucky to have the chance to get his wife back. He STILL fucked up of his own accord.
E. yeah, gods are rarely good in fiction. You wanna see victim blaming? Check out the SMT franchise.
F. He didn’t use some dude’s body! It’s directly said Ozpin lived alongside those who he had inhabited. And again, it’s not his fucking choice. You went on and on about how the gods were not good but suddenly you ignore it even though this was unprompted by the God of Light and he directly put Ozpin into someone else’s body? Kind of reeks of ‘Must blame everyone else beside Salem.’
G. He. Did not. Rape her. They had blatantly consequential sex. Fuck, he didn’t lie where he got that body nor does it matter in the case of rape. Fuck is this the new ‘Sun is a stalker’ bullshit?
H. Okay so Ozpin getting reincarnated into some guys body without his knowledge is bad but Salem murdering four children in a fight of rage is A-Okay?
I. But that just defeats the entire purpose of the Relic in the first place. Hell, half your damn post shouldn’t even be here if you actually believed this.
J. Salem is literally trying to kill everyone. By her own words. You're just throwing Ozpin under the bus in order to defend.
Most of your post either contradicts canonical information, shows a seevre lack of knowledge regarding basic writing concepts or just reeks of character apologism.
There is literally no reason to listen to you unless you want your bias confirmed.
Why we shouldn’t trust Jinn or 100% of what she showed us:
Throughout episode 3, the narrative (aka Jinn) repeatedly and consistently portrays Salem as evil, and the gods as justified for their actions. Before we address the title, let’s breakdown what happened and some of the implications of it.
Salem is trapped by her father in a tower. Not only does this mean her only known human interaction is extremely abusive and traumatizing, but the subsequent attempts to selfishly free her for glory or marriage horribly painted her views on humanity. Despite this, she still holds hope that there are good people, and wishes to see them.
Enter Ozma. For the first time in her life, Salem meets a person who wishes to free her from her prison for good reasons, simply because it’s the right thing to do. Ozma frees Salem, and brings her away from a place that she only knows for pain and suffering.
Because of this, Salem comes to associate Ozma with safety and comfort. She falls in love with him deeply, and is entirely dependant on him for her emotional health and well-being. When he dies, Salem takes it extremely hard because she’s lost a physical symbol of safety and comfort, as well as a lover.
Next comes the meeting with the gods, first the elder sibling. During their meeting, Salem asks for her lover, her only human companion, be revived. Not an unfair request, considering her past and their relationship. When the god of light denies her request for the legitimate reason of maintaining the balance of life and death, Salem reacts as expected: with anger and denial.
After her meeting with the god of light, Salem instead goes to the god of contortionism, and repeats her request. This time, the god of darkness is so deprived of followers that he fufills her request with no complaints.
God of light shows up shortly afterwards, and explains to his brother how he shouldn’t disturb the balance. Contortionist god, bitter that his older brother got all the attention, spitefully brings Ozma back only for light to kill him until light reveals that Salem came to him first. Enraged, Cortortionist kills Ozma for good and curses Salem with immortality for defying them and being “arrogant”, the first instance of them victim blaming.
Salem predictably loses it a tiny bit from watching her lover killed and ressurected multiple times and then being cursed with immortality on top of previous traumas, and gather’s Remnant’s armies to fight the gods. This infraction is something the brothers, as gods, would inevitably retaliate with death. However, instead of killing the assembled humans and their monarchs, he instead offs humanity en masse. This is our biggest hint that these gods are… not good. In the slightest.
In Salem’s depression, she throws herself into a pit of grimm essence, corrupting her. Ozma is brought back and violates another man’s body, using it as a tool to procreate 4 times in a concerning bit of rape imagery. But, regardless, Ozpin lied to Salem about his body and physical situation, raping her as well and then betraying her trust. Salem now sees that the one being she felt she could trust, that would treat her as a human being, is just as bad as all the others who came to free her from her tower. In her rage, she kills him and their 4 daughters whom she dearly loved, which clearly sent her even further over the edge. Then, years past before unknown events resulted in her pronounced veins and black daimond on her forhead.
Now, this tells us a few things. First off, we don’t know everything about what happened. Where did Salem’s head daimond and veins come from?

(Pictures for comparison)
We also know that the gods are unfairly biased against Salem, and that The god of light is worse about it. GoD is just a dick.
Additionally, Jinn was created by the elder brother, from his magic. She’s an extension of him and his power, and as such is most probably biased against Salem as well, explaining the rampant victim blaming in Jinn’s recount of events. Ozpin is also painted as a good and sympathetic person until ep 4 kindly reminds us that Ozpin’s pathological lies have fucked people over for centuries (and yet people still act like RWBYOQ are demons for being pissed at him instead of pitying him.) and removes him from his briefly sympathetic spotlight. This means anything Jinn tells us about Ozpin or Salem is as painted with favouratism as Qrow was in previous seasons.
However, there is still one question left, and one big mystery to use it on, a mystery that is only connected to Ozpin, not about him: What hapoened to Summer Rose? A question that would shed light on STRQ’s past, on why Raven ran, confirm Qrowdad and maybe give us and the cast fuel to fully condemn Oz and move on to how to kill Salem. Hell, Summer’s death might even tell us how to kill Salem, or at least give us clues to figure it out throughout the rest of the plot. As long as it makes sense and doesn’t involve resummoning the gods, I’m game.

Wait...what the fuck do they mean "retconned the moon"? And also, what are they on so I can get some of my own--that seems like quite the trip to go on.
I have no idea. You can’t retcon information that didn’t exist before hand. It literally goes against the concept of retroactive continuity.

‘retconned’
And you have officially lost the right to use that term, along with ‘racism’ and ‘sexism’
They retconned the moon. Figured as much when we switched over to the new style, but having it confirmed that they retconned it doesn’t make me happy about being right.

Buddy, considering you’ve had about fifteen chances to say something worthwhile and the best we got is you ‘waifu’ over and over again like a braindead robot, I wouldn’t be throwing mud
Salem would be GREAT if better written even Saturday Morning Cartoon Villains have better backstory & motives..I still would rather her “Win” tho

Ozpin is STILL a TRASH character. Barely even a character in general but this is CRWBY were talkin about. They can’t even write a bad episode of Spongebob or Totally Spies let alone a Ongoing Narrative Focused Show.

Honestly no matter what happened, the group would have been involved anyways… with or without Ozpin.
It’s just a matter of would they have KNOWN
The schools they go to? Protecting relics that Salem is after.
The creatures that attack them daily? Salem’s doing.
Salem’s reach knows no end of humanity. No matter what, there is no avoiding Salem. You either work with her and she grants your desires in exchange for working with her, or you’re working against her.
Or you’re just some poor rando trying to live a good life only to be attacked by Grimm or have to worry about it.
No area of humanity is safe from her unless you side with her… and even those who work under her aren’t safe if there is failure or they displease or anger her.
No matter what, you’ll never be truly safe.
The group is undeniably and understandably angry with Ozpin. However, at this point, no matter what they do… even if they abandon the quest and give up because she can’t be defeated… she’s still there and they can be attacked by Grimm.
Or she’ll come to them and sweet talk them into siding against Oz and then punish them if they so much as consider displeasing her.
Even if they never got involved, they’d still have to deal with the creatures of Grimm… which are created and controlled by Salem.
No matter what, they cannot escape her.
They either risk their lives fighting against her with Oz in their side.
Or they risk their lives fighting against her by fending off endless army’s of Grimm after abandoning Oz and trying to defeat her.
Or risk their lives trying to avoid any and all contact with Salem and Grimm, abandoning their friends, family, and the innocent people they wanted to protect in the first place.
Or side with Salem and hope they don’t displease her to the point she decides to kill them.
As long as they are determined to live, they will be fighting against her, unless they are working for her.
And then they’ll be risking their lives for her desires because she will punish anyone who disobeys or displeased her or puts their desires above her own…
Because you’re desires only come from her.
No matter how they look at it, justify abandoning or staying with Oz, how to live or where to live, etc. they will be risking they’re lives.
