“Look who is here!”

Platt is never bothered when she sees your daughter stepping into the District. It just has happened a couple of times, her babysitter has decided to cancel her shift at the last minute and you have to work. But your boss is glad to spend some time with your daughter since she really loves her and always has a good time together.

“Sorry, Serge', Cindy bailed on me”.

“Hi, Trudy!”

“Hi, Alice”. They both melt into a noisy hug until the older turns at you. “No problem, (Y/L/N). We're gonna have so much fun today, right?”

“Is it Hank over here?”

“Not yet, but he mu—”.

“Is it Christmas morning?” The husky voice you could die for interrupts Plat.

Your daughter walks out from the counter, practically running to jump onto your other boss's arms. And he raises gladly, placing a kiss on her cheek. Voight is the kindest man you have ever met and he loves your kids with all his strengths.

“What 'you doing here, uh?”

“No school today”. She just shrugs her shoulders, as the man puts on her jacket drawing a soft smile on the lips you'd love to kiss.

“Wanna have breakfast with me?”

“Yes!” Alice screams, shaking her small arms, turning at you to ask for permission.

“Uhm… sure, just lemme gi—”.

“Don't you dare to give me money, (Y/L/N)”. Hank glances at you squinting, not focusing on you anymore to walk upstairs and leave the place with your daughter.

“He likes you”.

Platt's whisper takes you by surprise as you were too oblivious imagining a life together and Alice calling him dad, slightly jumping on your feet and frowning as you spin around to face her. She has both eyebrows raised and, by the lack of response, she waves both hands before putting a zip on her mouth.

You were playing it cool knowing your daughter was in good hands. Nothing could happen to her being with Hank. Until you receive a call through the radio, asking your patrol to come back immediately to the District. The officer doesn't say anything else and your mind starts to play dirty with you. You can't help but imagine one hundred situations where your baby girl gets hurt somehow. Inevitable for any cop surrounding her.

You stomp into the station like a bat out of hell, looking everywhere trying to find Alice sitting there. Safe and sound. But Platt intercepts you before you can open your mouth. She points with her forefinger upstairs, straight to Intelligence. Not even a minute after you're already at their offices. Emptied, except for Sergeant Miller sat in Voight's chair with a sour gesture on her face. Gulping as you watch your daughter in tears, sticking her head out the office, your little girl runs towards you to jump into your arms. She isn't hurt, so you know at the instant what's happening there.

Coming into the office, before leaving Alice on Kevin's desk painting some kind of magic animal, you take a seat in front of your supreme boss.

“This is not a kindergarten”.

You bow your head down, aware there are no excuses to make her understand what has happened. A woman like her would never understand.

“I'm sorry”. You whisper, tangling your hands over your lap, not being able to look at her.

“This is a District. A police station. What kind of mother leaves her child accessible to killers, rapist—”.

“Don't you dare, Samantha”.

You suddenly raise your head, turning to the door following the rough husky voice speaking in your defense. Voight is there, jaw clenched, arms behind his back.

“I asked her to bring the kid here. I went for a witness, but she knew to perfection she couldn't move from my office. And, believe me, she obeys my orders”. He lies. But he lies really good, taking a step closer to you so he can place a hand on your shoulder. “(Y/L/N) is one of my best cops. One of those cops Chicago should be proud to have on its duty”.

“I don't ca—”.

“And I don't care what you have to opine, Deputy. This is my District. My rules”.

The woman puckers her lips with a soft nod of her chin, before standing up to glance at you as she leaves the office. Now, you can breathe. As soon as the metallic fence is closed again, you jump out of your seat to hug him. You don't think that. You just act. Hank needs to take a second to react, placing his arms around your waist to bring you closer against his chest. You can't imagine how many times he has fantasized about having you just like that. As if anything else matters around you. And it feels really pleasant the lack of distance between your bodies.

“Thank you”. You whisper with such a honeyed tone, really grateful for defending you.

“You don't have to”. Voight replies, moving a hand to the back of your head, pressing you a little more to him —not wanting this moment to finish. Not caring who can see the two of you practically melted in that tight embrace. “Alice is okay?”

“Yeah… Just a little scared”.

“What if… we take her out for lunch, huh? Would it work?”

That sounds like a date. A date of three. But a date. A soft smile crosses your lips when you pull yourself away some inches to get lost in his brown eyes. Assenting, Hank tours a side of your neck with his long fingers to reach your warm cheek. And commending his soul to God, he leans forward enough to caress your lips with his. An ephemeral touch enough to race your heart, snapping down your eyelids. The sergeant only kisses you when he's sure you're not going to stop him, fitting his mouth to yours uttering a soft gasp of pure relief while you nail your fingers on the back of his neck to push him more, and more close.

He's always been the one for you, and now, Hank doesn't have any doubts.

You really need to start interacting, especially with writers. I’m not saying leave a 500 words feedback on every damn thing you read. I’m asking you to interact at all, or make a damn sideblog to collect reblogs if you don’t want to disrupt your theme. 

I’ve not been here as long as other writers have been, but I’m noticing a distinct decrease in both interaction and new fics being written over the course of my stay in this fandom. When I first posted, I easily got past the 250 notes line (without trying, mind you). Now, I’m lucky when I even cross 50 notes, and that is with a fair amount of people following me.

I’m not begging for notes, this is NOT what this post is about. I can honestly care less because I write because I LOVE writing. 

Feedback is appreciated but not expected. I love seeing people reblog things and leave nice comments but I would still be writing the exact same way if I am just doing it for myself. Notes are nice but they don’t say anything about the quality of the work. But I’m just telling you to look at the difference. 

And now, think about those that are just starting out writing. Those with small blogs and can’t really grow no matter how much they try. The mid sized blogs who never feel like they’re going anywhere. Those that pour work into writing and then waiting for exposure that never comes.

This fandom will die when you do not interact with the writers, fanfictions are the most thankless of the fandom arts out there already. Do you really want to finish fics, search for more in excitement and coming up with nothing? Seeing the many abandoned WIPs and discouraged posts of the few that are left?  Realising that the lack of content is because others before you did not bother to expand?

❝ a / n: as many of you know, i suffer from depression —since i’m very, very young. life hasn’t been easy for me, although you don’t need to have a bad life to suffer from it, that is what caused it to me. it beats me whenever i expect it, even if i’ve learned through the years to live with it, sometimes i can’t control it tho. i can’t really explain how it feels, how it makes me feels. but i wrote these six drabbles to make me feel some comfort, to bring me some light, with my favorite six characters of all times. and i wanted to share it with you.

You haven't seen him more nervous in his life, going from one side to another trying to find the perfect suit to wear and a tie to match with.

Your father knows Jay already, he likes him, but his younger brother is pretty different.

You're Will's first consolidated relationship. Being together for a year now. So you thought it was time to introduce him to your family formally.

The only thing your father wants is to see you happy, to see you smile. So you aren't worried.

Or, at least, you weren't until Herrmann opens the front door of your house.

“Hey, kid! You look beautiful tonight, look at you!”

Will is about to run. Far, far away.

But then, your father pops up on the grid with a petty smile drawn on his face.

It's not like you hate desk job —but you do— because it means no one's been murdered, but you have too much adrenaline contained in your body. You like action. You can't help but laugh loudly, resting your forehead on his breathless chest rising and falling eagerly. Your partner chuckles too, shaking his head. It's been a good move.

“Do we always end up on top of each other?” His voice doesn't sound surprised at all, remembering in a sight all the times you've been in the same position that you are right now.

“I think Murphy's law has something to do”. You reply sitting up on his stomach and finding some more balance as your hands land on his chest.

For a second, you forgot what you were doing, enraptured by how good he looks all sweaty and running out of air. His parted lips are practically inviting you to join them with yours, and, who are you to refuse? But you aren't the only one feeling tempted. Your mouths collide midway when Antonio stands up on one of his forearms, moving his left hand to the back of your neck. Being hungry for each other it's something neither of you can't hide. The kiss is rush, needed, anxious.

Twisting your body with a move you weren't expecting, your back hits the canvas while he settles himself between your legs. Now, his right hand is nailed in your lower back urging you to arch your body, pressing the growing bulge under his sweatpants against your center.
