Motivated :)

My depression was so yesterday. I'm done following the career that I didn't even want.

I almost thought I would get stuck on that horrible state. Thank You Lord for bringing back the fire in me. :) <3

Yup, that is what I said to myself 4 months ago. I was able to practice my profession as a nurse in a community for 6 months. I had good friends and awesome workmates, but everyday was a struggle for me. I had to convince myself that I love my career. There was a point in my life that I almost wished I didn't pass the NLE, so that I could have an excuse not to practice nursing. For 6 months I was having that emotional crisis, and nobody knew how hard that was for me. I resigned last October 2012. My dad wasn't really happy about that decision. He still wanted me to pursue my career so he gave me an option to go to Cebu for a hospital work. At first I was excited about the idea, but then I realized that I really didn't want to do those things. I don't like the feeling of getting in a job based on who you know, and not for what you know. I also don't want living alone far from my family. I tried waiting for 3 months, and (thank God) there was no call. Dad told me that it must've been delayed due to the coming elections (freeze hiring). I asked God to give me a sign and He did. God did His part, so I guess I should do mine now. For years I have blamed my parents for making me choose nursing as a course, but I realized that it's time to stop the blame game. I'm already 22 and I think this is the perfect time to make things right. I made a gamble to pursue a different career. I wouldn't know if this is a good decision for now, but I feel a hell of a lot better doing this than sticking to what doesn't make me happy. We have the power to choose the life we live. It's up to us if we want to live the way other people want us to live, or live our lives the way we want to.
