You know how every hunter in bloodborne is ultimately destined to an afterlife of agonizing misery in a nightmare mirror of the real world where they're destined to fight and die and degenerate for all eternity? im reading blood meridian and so far this feels exactly like the cowboy version of that

IHNMAIMS and Blood Meridian are getting popular on TikTok lately and there are already a bunch of people fundamentally misunderstanding AM and edgy boys thinking they’re “judge Holden irl”

#PPL CALLING THEMSELVES JUDGE HOLDEN???? #also. majority of ppl definitely do not know how to read blood meridian lmfao #not even just bc of the contents themselves (which. is brutal dgmw) but the writing style is very distinct #and difficult to process unless you're fairly used to classic literature

i think the funniest parts of blood meridian is when the judge is having one of his philosophical talks (breakdowns) and then the rest of the gang is probably staring like

He wafts his hat and the lunar dome of his skull passes palely under the lamps and he swings about and takes possession of one of the fiddles and he pirouettes and makes a pass, two passes, dancing and fiddling at once. His feet are light and nimble. He never sleeps. He says that he will never die. He dances in light and in shadow and he is a great favorite. He never sleeps, the judge. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die.
