Shahadat Harzat-e-Imam Ali(A.S) observed in Kargil with religious fervour Kargil 4 MAY 2021:-Martyrdom Anniversary of Harzat-E-Imam Ali observed in Kargil with, limited number of People as limited by District Administration keeping in view the prevailing Covid 19 Situation reached Kargil Bazaar in the form of Mourning Processions to mark the annual anniversary of Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib’s martyrdom which coincides with 21st day of holy month of Ramadan. The main Processions were carried out under the banners of Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama Isna Ashriya Kargil Ladakh and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Kargil. The Mourning processions passing through main bazaar Kargil concluded at Inqilab Manzil and Hussaini Park Kargil. To pay the services and efforts for the cause of Islam and Muslim Ummah. Talking on this occasion The speakers threw light on the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Ali A.S and his contribution in Islam. The Speakers urged the people to follow the Covid Appropriate Behavior and follow the directions and instructions of the District Administration and Health Department to Contain the Spread of Covid 19 in the District. Earlier yesterday in all villages of Kargil special prayers were arranged for the whole night and people participated in these prayers and prayed for the prosperity and communal harmony in the country and state. Hazrat Ali Bin Abi Talib AS, Prophet Mohammed’s cousin and son-in-law, was well known for his great knowledge, played a great role in spreading Islam. Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him, described himself as the city of knowledge and that Imam Ali was its gate. Imam Ali was attacked by the Ibn Muljam while worshipping in the Great Mosque of Kufa On the 19th of Ramadan and died a few days later on Ramadan 21, 661 AD. In Muslim culture, Imam Ali is respected for his courage, knowledge, belief, honesty, unbending devotion to Islam, deep loyalty to Prophet Muhammad, equal treatment of all Muslims and generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies. Cycling Expedition by Project Vijayak on COVID Awareness Kargil 30 April 2021 A Cycling Expedition by Project Vijayak of Border Road Organisation (BRO ) being undertaken to spread awareness about road safety and COVID protocols among population was flagged off today from Zojila Top. Expedition was flagged of by Colonel Kaushik Mitra from Project Vijayak. The expedition is one of the series of events being organised by BRO as part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav as the Nation would be completing 75 years of Independence on 15 August 2022. The expedition will be conducted over next eight days and will be flagged in on BRO Day, 07 May 2021. The expedition is being led by Captain Tarun Bhatia of 81 RCC of Project Vijayak. Route selected for expedition is Zozila Top, Drass, Kargil, Batalik, Khalste, Nimmu, Leh, Khardungla Top, North Pulllu and will be flagged in at Leh. DM Kargil issues order for penal action against persons providing false information of quarantine address, travel history KARGIL, APRIL 30, 2021 In view of the prevailing situation of COVID-19 pandemic, Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and District Magistrate (DM) Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today issued an order which states that if any inbound traveler/passenger to District Kargil is found to have provided false information regarding their address /places of home quarantine/contact number/negative RT-PCR report and their travel history at the screening /check posts besides if anyone is found violating the provisions of the regulations /SOPs shall be deemed to have committed an offence under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and hence penal action under rules shall be initiated against such persons.  This order shall come into force with effect from 30th of April, 2021 and will remain in effect till further order, the order reads. The UT administration should act swiftly and solve the issue of the Passengers which was not expected in such a situation when the whole country is reeling under the threat of Covid 19.
