Piper: .... Ya may not be in the mood, but... Ya wanna hear a joke? Balan: Oh? Well then, go ahead and tell me.

Piper: Okay then. Ever heard of the guy that invented the knock-knock joke?

Balan: No, I can't say that I have.

Piper: Well, he won the "No-bell" prize!

Balan: Oh! *Balan starts to laugh*

Piper: Wow.. That joke was actually pretty bad.

Balan: Oh, that was wonderful! I was not expecting you to be so funny!

Hello. I decided to draw this because I couldn't sleep. This is a fanart for @lady-amethyst18 for her AU called Lonesome Maestro. I've read a bit, and it got me hooked. So I drew this picture of Balan talking with my OC, Piper. Also, I'm sorry if Balan looks slightly cringe. It was my first time drawing him, ever. I sorta had to improvise for his finishing touches just to make sure I was satisfied with how he came out, but I think I did okay for my first try. ^.^

Ways of Blowing A Nose:

Into a Handkerchief or a tissue:

- watching the handkerchief become significantly darker from the wet snot that flooded it, only for the thick snot to cling onto the persons nostrils/upper lip

- watching the tissues become a wet ball of mucus from being soaked/having the tissue rip mid blow and the snot to spray out

Into Hands:

- thick snot filling cupped hands, creating a puddle within palms that seeps out the spaces between fingers

- constantly sniffling due to no access to tissues but eventually giving up and letting out an audibly viscous blow into their hands of hours of sniffling

Into the air:

- snot rockets

- too bunged up with congestion to care

- sick/horrible allergies cause them to not be bothered and just plug one nostril and shoot out a stalactite of snot that they opt to just wipe away against their wrist

After A Sneeze:

- blowing their nose immediately after a wet sneeze

- nose is too clogged to blow normally so they have to induce a few sneezes to loosen up their sinuses before blowing

- snot is most loose immediately after the sneeze so they sneeze into a tissue to get as much mucus out as possible

- the force of them blowing their nose aggravating their nostrils, causing them to sneeze again or even start a snotty sneezing fit which clears their nose but only after a volley of snot dense sneezes

Hello. It’s been a while. I could use a little fan fic to help lighten my mood. Could you write a story of Mamu caring for Reala while he has a bad cold?

Sure!

"ACHOO!" Reala let out a loud and painful sneeze. He grumbled, blowing his non-existent nose before throwing the umpteenth tissue into the trash can.

Originally, he had plans to do his usual routine; start his morning training and complete any tasks that Wizeman gave him. But nope. He just had to get sick. While it was true that Nightmarens had a stronger immune system than humans, that didn't mean that they weren't capable of getting injured or sick.

Now here he was, laying in his bed and trying to get comfortable. If the blanket was on, it was too hot. But if the blanket was off, he found himself freezing.

A knock was heard on the door to his room. "Reala?" Mamu's voice called from the other side. "Are you awake? I brought soup and tea for you."

"Come in," Reala croaked, grimacing from the soreness of his throat.

Mamu came into Reala's room, holding a tray that contained a bowl of soup and a cup of hot tea. "How are you feeling?" She asked, flying over to Reala's bed.

"Terrible," Reala grumbled, eyeing the tray that Mamu set down in front of him. "I won't stop sneezing, my throat irritates me, and I can't get comfortable at all."

"All of the symptoms of a cold," Mamu said. "Here, eat some soup and drink some tea. They will both soothe your throat."

Reala reluctantly sat up on his bed and began to slowly eat his soup. "When you're done eating, I'll give you some medicine and cough drops." Mamu noticed the box of tissues were almost empty. "Let me get you some more tissues." She left Reala's room, leaving him to eat in peace.

When she came back, she sat the new box of tissues down and opened them up. Reala had already finished his soup and was now drinking tea. "Finished your soup?" Mamu asked with a smile. "I remember making this for you and NiGHTS back when you two were kids. Whenever you got sick, this was what I would make."

"I still enjoy it…" Reala averted his eyes in embarrassment.

"I'm glad you still do," Mamu said with a smile. "It's what Visitors call a "comfort food". Well, let me get you some medicine and a cough drop. Do try to rest for a bit."

Reala nodded and laid back down on his bed. Normally, he would have been struggling to get comfortable.

But now, he was able to fall asleep with ease.

A question for kicks and giggles. Being the “gentleman” they are who would most likely carry a handkerchief? Balan or Lance?

Both of them have that, but each has a different concept of it's characteristics, use and purpose

Balan: of course being as fancy and luxurious as only he can be, he cannot help but to sport a ridiculously rich and exquisite collection of handkerchiefs, some embroidered, others made from incredibly special materials; each and every one of them has an INCREDIBLY specific and unique function, it's in fact so intricate that only balan knows it all, most just get overwhelmed, lance just doesn't even try learn, rug is rug for him

Lance: he is more practical and utilitarian with his approach for him any piece of clothing that doesn't hold any emotional value can be and will be recycled into rags, that he will use to clean anything that needs to be cleaned in the theater, even balan's handkerchiefs can end up on a spillage if there is no further options

What do you like about sonic?

There was something about Sonic that really grabbed me instead of Mario. The stories are entertaining and Sonic's personality is just amazing. He's a fast paced guy, but he has a heart of gold.

The characters are also amazing. There's always something to look deep into when it comes to the lore of the characters.

The science ficion along with a sprinkle of magic is perfectly blended together. And that's why I love sonic the hedgehog

How do you think the maestros handle horror movies? I can imagine Lance just watching horror movies to judge the special effects while Balan hides behind the couch.

Well, when it comes to the brothers, both of them handle horror movies in different ways: Lance: he usually looks it the first time for the plot, just to analize what does it cover, how does it cover it, point out holes and gaps in the story, the second time just to tease balan and the third one is just to have something in the background as he talks away. Balan: he cannot handle horror movies that well, although he loves suspence and intrigue movies, they just scratch that itch he has for unveiling misteries and obtaining knowledge. the horror genre is a little too much for him... until lance teases him for not having the guts to see a horror movie. this usually makes Balan have that brotherly instinct (anything you can do I can do better) which pushes him to watch horror movies (with lance of course or else how would he prove he indeed watched it) ... and then the whole thing backfires spectacularly for Balan (screaming like a little girl levels of backfire).

You know when I see Balan smiling a lot, I just think that he’s got to have some cramps in his cheeks from smiling. Then I remember that ending scene in Toy Story 2 when Barbie is saying goodbye to the audience and asks someone offscreen if they’re gone and breaks character to whine about how much her cheeks hurt from smiling.
