Peter having self-date day because he wants to and have been going to places he always see either as spiderman or peter but never have the time or need to go and he also take a lot of pics and vids.
On the other hands, Tony is bored as hell and his favourite young adult is apparently much rather having fun with his own than spending time with his mentor.
So Tony maybe or not maybe ambush Peter's self date and now they both having fun together. (Peter don't mind Tony ambush his day)
Okay, but that actually sounds so sweet?? Like I can see Peter just chillin' Like- I am going to be Peter today. I'm going for a nice long walk to the science museum and take myself out to lunch.
Then Mr. Stark calls and asks him to come over to do this, that, or the other in the lab and Peter declines because he had *plans.* Mr. Stark is just so- baffled because WHO TURNS DOWN TIME IN HIS LAB?? Not the kid, that's for sure! So he decided to go all sneaky-sneak and contacts May. (He could just track Peter's watch but Peter would accuse him of abusing his 'power') May tells Mr. Stark all about Peter's plans and Mr. Stark is just like- hmmm.
Next thing Peter knows, Mr. Stark (wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses) is jogging up beside him on the sidewalk carrying two bottles of water and a giant pretzel from a street vendor.
Peter is #surpised not surprised, because Mr. Stark would absolutely just show up and crash his personal day.
"Did you track me with my watch?"
"No." Tony scoffs "I'm not that unethical. I called May. She told me where you were headed. Finding you this quickly was honestly just dumb luck."
"Betrayal."
"Is it though? I mean, you got a pretzel out of it."
"Will I be getting a twelve-inch sub sandwich, chips, and a couple of cookies out of it too?"
"Oh, one hundred percent, Bud. Whatever you want."
"Well, I guess I can deal with my personal day becoming a, uh-" Peter's brain stalls as the words father-son pop into his head. He bites them back. "a mentor and mentee day."
"Sounds good to me, Kiddo! Lead the way!"

Thank you @charming-mug for this screenshot from the video game "Marvel's Midnight Suns".
I'm losing my mind. This quote, from an official source, has made my week. Because thats exactly it! Thats the point! It's not that Tony looks as Peter and wants to adopt him because hes just so cute or anything. Tony looks at Peter and sees himself!
He sees himself in miniature. He sees a kid with all the potential that Tony wasted, all the potential that Tony mourned throwing away. Tony wants to make sure that Peter gets all the parts of Tony that Tony is proud of, and that Peter avoids the parts that still haunt Tony.
Tony gives Peter tech. He gives him access to the lab, new suits, and academic validation. He tries to make sure that Peter gets the chance to grow up as surrounded by tech as Tony did.
But! Tony is there! He actually helps, he makes sure Peter knows that the tech is a gift, and its there because Tony thinks Peter is worthy of it. And Tony is somewhat strict (ferry scene, yelling in infinity war, ect.) because I'm sure a part of him wishes that Howard had stopped Tony from partying and throwing his life away.
Irondad works so well, in my opinion, because its not that Tony thinks that he would be a good dad and so he finds some kid to take in. Its good because Tony finds a piece of himself in the way Peter behaves, and he starts feeling responsible for it. He is PUSHED into parenthood by his sense of responsibility and guilt over his past.
Tony looks at peter and sees who he could have been. He wants to make sure that Peter ends up better than him. Tony wants to right the wrongs done to him, to make sure Peter doesn’t experience the hurt that followed Tony into adulthood.
(And then Peter lost a mother-figure and a father-figure, and both were killed in a way that Peter doesn’t feel right to blame the murderer for their deaths. And Peter got put into the public eye, every movement criticized. And the Peter was so famous that his "bad publicity" held him back from his dream school.
Tony wanted Peter never to experience the things that hurt Tony. But Toy didn't live long enough to watch as all his efforts were proven to be in vain.
Because history repeats. The son becomes the father. Theres only one way this story ends.)

The team NEVER sees Bucky without his shirt on as he likes to hide his scars.
So they are shocked with Peter is able to convince Bucky to go swimming with him and not have a shirt on.
And then they start recalling when they visit Bucky's room/place with Peter there he doesn't have a shirt on.
Or if Bucky crashes over at Peter's he doesn't have a shirt on.
Soon enough the team starts piecing it together. Other then Natasha cause she already knows those boys are in love with each other.

wanting for daylight
Sometimes the depths of Harley’s feeling for Peter is incomprehensible, even to him.
It catches him off guard, in moments like this. Harley had been awake for a while; his body clock is a temperamental thing. But Peter sleeps like a baby wherever and whenever he wants. Watching the morning light inch over Peter in increments, until he’s covered in gold and none the wiser, well, Harley didn't think he could fall even more in love.
But even that is an inadequate of a description, really. Each nerve ending of Harley's is so attuned to Peter that the soundless shift in his breathing from sleeping to waking sends a thrill up his spine. You, Harley thinks, to the beat of his heart, you, you you. Peter is his magnetic north. Like a blind man wanting for daylight, or the tide seeking the shore. Since the first day they met, Harley’s been drawn to Peter like the other man is hooked into him.
Harley has the sudden, fierce desire to press his lips to the soft skin just underneath Peter’s eye. Right beneath his eyelashes. Wants nothing more to run his nose along the strong bone of Peter’s, and pepper kisses from one side to the other across the top of his cheeks.
Peter’s blush is something Harley aches for.
Instead he raises a hand, and grazes the tips of his fingers along Peter’s jaw, his cheekbone, at last tucking an errant strand of hair behind the curve of his ear.
“You don’t even know what you do to me,” Harley murmurs, unintentionally turning thought into voice.
Peter, watching him through sleep-hazed, honeyed eyes, smiles indulgently. He turns his head, lips pressing against the very edge of the palm of Harley’s hand in the lightest suggestion of a kiss.
When Peter speaks, Harley can feel each word vibrating through him, the brush of air across his wrist with each exhale.
“Similar to what you do to me, I expect,” Peter says, and Harley smiles, bright and content and wonderful.

peter kept biting his lips.
harley had long ago weaned himself from this habit, after all, why bite his own lips when there were his boyfriend's beautiful lips nearby to bite while kissing?

warning: she’s back on her parkner bullshit
here’s the thing-
most americans will tell you they don’t have an accent. they’ll insist on it, in fact. but- realistically- even if someone doesn’t have an “accent”, they’ll have specific regional dialect traits and tendencies that they do that basically equate to having an accent. drawing out certain vowels, dropping your ‘r’, over-enunciating the ‘r’, using words that are straight up not used anywhere else in the country. etc etc.
so let’s make something clear here.
when I say that harley keener has a country accent, I don’t mean the overplayed accent that exists in hollywood (which, to their credit, DOES exist in the south, just not normally the part of tennessee that we typically shove rose hill in).
i mean that harley keener sounds like every boring american accent you see in modern television, EXCEPT for when he’s tired and his ‘t’s turn into ‘aht’ like he’s yawning mid-word. I mean that he sprinkles in a ‘darlin’ and ‘honey’ here and there, but ONLY when he feels like being a little shit or he’s too sleep deprived to have a filter. I mean that he moved to new york, noticed the way his vowels and ‘g’s seemed to slip and slide off of his tongue different from everyone else and decided that he was tired of being too much rose hill and too little harley and forced his mouth to sound like the streets around him.
and peter? peter will swear up and down he has no accent, and even if he did, it’s the right one, so shut up about it. it’s a mix of queens and jersey and the little bit of italian may imprinted on him, and it’s loud in the way that only big city accents are. you wouldn’t notice it in normal conversation, but then peter throws out a quip mid-fight, and yeah, there it is. him snapping at harley in the mornings with something that sounds like it came out of good will hunting, and going to class with a inflection like he’s from so-cal.
and they’ll both shove the accents down, on purpose and without knowing, like it’s a secret where their childhood is and how it isn’t home now. harley’s all country when he’s blaring george strait, but crisp and practiced when in a board meeting. peter’s loud and loving when he goes home to may, but quiet and slower when talking to the kid he finds lost on the street. it’s a practice, and a routine, and it’s both complimentary and grating on their ears.
just a thought.

idk i just find it interesting to think peter was never a super anxious person until life made him anxious about everything. like his anxiety comes from a place of circumstances and his past giving him all the reasons he should be anxious. he overthinks worst case scenarios because he’s experienced worst case scenarios and knows that they are something to anticipate. in homecoming he is a carefree teenager who is aware of his impact in many ways but also who hasn’t experienced the traumas of the vulture and thanos and mysterio and the entirety of no way home, traumas which stack on top of each other until every thought he has is weighted by anxiety.
and then to have harley contrasting that by having anxiety his entire life but having to teach himself how to logic his way out of his anxiety. like, he walks into a room and immediately is checking exits and looking for potential hazards and is afraid of every possible bad thing that could happen—and then he forces himself to stop and be like, okay, yeah, that’s possible, but also that is incredibly unlikely and focusing on the potential rather than the actual will only distract me from the present moment and, in turn, potentially distract me from any bad things that might actually happen. and i like to think that harley is so used to having these anxious thoughts that he has no reaction when he has them. like he’ll be smiling and laughing and also thinking about what to do if something catches on fire, and because of this he comes across as very relaxed and carefree to others.
idk i just. i love the idea of harley and peter having these things in common but also being complete opposites about them? peter was carefree and happy and optimistic about the world and his future and everything until the universe forced him to become overly cautious and anxious and always afraid of things going wrong because every single thing has gone wrong before and he knows it could do so again. harley has always anticipated the worst case scenario even though the world has not given him much reason to do so and has to actively remind himself that the worst case scenario is often not what actually happens. his motto is “hope for the best prepare for the worst” because that’s the only way he can manage to enjoy things while being anxious about them, whereas peter’s motto has turned into “hope for nothing prepare for everything” because he has no choice but to anticipate everything falling apart.
(and, in a world where they meet, the longer they know each other the more they understand each other and one another’s anxieties and how they work and learn to communicate with each other in a way that helps to ease their inidivual anxieties. harley reminds peter that, while the worst has happened before, that doesn’t mean it’s automatically going to happen again, and peter helps harley feel prepared for things going wrong in a way that harley is then able to focus on the positives easier, which again in turn gives harley the ability to help peter focus on the positives, too, which then provides peter the confidence to become a little bit more carefree and optimistic again, until they can easily bounce off one another to help ease their anxieties and become calming presences in each others lives, esp during stressful situations)

Okay funny prompt of:
Peter crashing over at Steve and Bucky's for whatever reason. Maybe his building is being fumigated again.
Steve putting a pillow and blanket on the couch.
Bucky asking what he is doing.
Steve is like "for Peter?"
And Bucky's like nah he crashing with me. It's no problem.
And Steve just standing there holding the blanket blinking.

idk if you take prompts but can you draw post-endgame Tony with a purely functional prosthetic and minimal facial surgery?? I always imagined that if Tony survived he'd retire so he could spend more time with Morgan and all his new fake limbs would basically be designed as toys for her. or Pepper too I guess LMAO. Basically just non-Iron Man stuff for his family.
irondad goodness!

(might be OOC, I'm mostly venting)
"Weren't you paying attention? How could you let that slip?"
"I-I don't know!" Peter, helpless, tries to explain as clearly as he can with the exhaustion ruling over him. "I didn't realize it until--"
"Jesus, kid, you could've gotten seriously hurt!" Tony argues. Peter only feels more overwhelmed. "At this point you can't just half-ass this! Like, you really half-assed this, you're a smart kid but sometimes--" (I doubt it, Peter internally completes).
"I GET IT, OKAY?!" The teen explodes. "I KNOW I messed up! You don't have to rub it in my goddamn face!"
His words shakes the walls and even DUM-E trembles.
Tony looks shocked. "Kid--"
Peter groans and aggressively returns to his desk. "I'll fix this stupid..." he mutters, because some part of him knows that's the best thing to do.
He can sense his mentor watching him.
Tony tries, "Kid."
Peter ignores him.
"Peter, look at me."
No can do.
Tony inhales angrily, then he approaches and tries to take the Spider-Man suit away from him, except Peter is quick enough not to let that happen. Some of the tools fall on the floor. The noise is deafening.
"Peter," Tony scolds more seriously. "Give me the suit."
"Or what? You're going to LEAVE me again?" Peter bites. "You're just going to disappear and remind me that you don't give a SHIT about me, RIGHT?!"
"Peter--"
"Yeah, well, I don't need you! I never needed you to begin with! And I certainly didn't need you when THAT WAREHOUSE DROPPED ON ME!"
Somewhere, the glass cracks. Or maybe it's Peter's mask finally breaking apart.
The true horror in Tony's face...
And the water leaking through Peter's eyes...
The boy throws his suit on the floor with all the strength he has, and he runs away as his sobs can no longer be repressed.
Peter can hear Tony calling for him. But he doesn't look back. He locks himself in his room. And Peter, covering his mouth, finally cries after what felt like forever.
He replays the whole thing in his head and it sickens him. Peter hates himself so goddamn much.
