      As if the hydraulics were just as human muscle, they moved at her touch.       Barely noticeable, but it was bound to move as he did. The cybernetics were       linked to his nerves, brain telling them subtle movements even if he could       not feel her fingers against the metal. Had she asked about it; he would       have told. But the unease would always be there. Appreciation crossed       his expression, grin broad.

      Never down for long, the man just kept his smile wide and welcoming        while he contentedly watched her examine his arm. Odd how a stranger       could make him feel welcomed and at peace, when he had not felt that       calm emotion in years.

Free from the anger and resentment harbored     in the current days. What had she been though?  To speak as if her life had     been nothing but a walking dream? For a moment, Silver wonders if he should     respond with a usual jest - something to lessen the agony of remembrance.

    But her next question causes yet another beat of silence. Not long lived;     just enough for his gaze to settle on her pointing finger and the trail leading     to his right cybernetic arm.        

                        ❝Aye — can’t be much t’ look at… ❞

    Silver presents it, hydraulics humming with the movement. He holds no real     emotion in her asking to examine it — it tends to be when its origins are     discussed. 

                                         ❝— yet it be useful  in a tight fix. ❞

               How was it that a simple conversation with a total stranger about matters                so  personal  somehow  manage  to  help  a  little? She  supposed it was                because  they  shared  a  similar  fate.  Barely  saying  more  than  a  few                sentences  to  each  other, hardly sharing the whole story. But they didn't                have to, there was an understanding.

               Once  given  permission  from him, Lucille steps forward, trailing emerald                eyes  over  the  elaborate  details. It was impressive, a very neat piece of                craft.

               And then she steps even closer, barely a few inches away from him, and                begins  to  brush gentle fingertips along the cool steel. Starting first at his                hand, and then trails up slowly to his shoulder.

                                                 ❝I'm not going to ask how it happened, I know                                                              how painful memories can be. But you don't                                              have to be ashamed of it. I hope you know that.❞
