rye had been stood for maybe half an hour, having the same conversation as he always did each friday with the same person. lala faulkner was a force to be reckoned with but so was his own stubborness. “okay we’ve talked about this hundreds of times before. insulting me isn’t the way to get a drink despite being underaged, it’s the way to get me to call security.” he smirked at the young girl in front of him who was clearly not his biggest fan at the moment. “so try again. i’ll give you two more attempts.”

lala stomped her feet in the ground, her face an angry pout as she tried to bargain for a fucking drink. it was friday night, she was exhausted and she just wanted some alcohol, something she was willing to pay extra for just because. And every fucking friday, like clockwork, she’d face the gatekeeper himself, the bane of her very existence. “yeah, your face still looks like a scrunched up piece of paper, i can’t help it! but fine.” the blonde groaned, rolling her eyes and trying to channel some form of kindness in her heart towards the bartender. “pretty please with a cherry on top, can i please, for the love of all that is good and kind, get a cocktail please?”

MUSE 17, SYDNEY SWEENEY, CISFEMALE┊ have you seen LALA FAULKNER around hillston? the 18 year old is said to be a SENIOR AT HIGH SCHOOL. the neighbours would say that they’re LOUD and DEMANDING, but they’re actually IMAGINATIVE and SPONTANEOUS. SHE often reminds people of messy ponytails, unfinished tubes of assorted flavoured lip smackers, laughing through her tears. watch out, though. you wouldn’t believe that SHE IS SIGNING UP FOR REALITY TV DEALS.

Lala is inspired heavily by Lala Kent of Vanderpump Rules fame. She was born and raised in Hollywood, and being famous is all she’s ever known in life. Being Arthur Faulkner’s daughter has it’s perks. 

She wouldn’t say she was exceptionally close to her parents or her brother, even though they all lived in the same house, and all the exclusives would tell you otherwise. Lala has been more of an independent spirit her whole life, and even now she refuses to let that spark die. 

But that didn’t mean that her mother’s death didn’t hit her hard because it did. The family went from four to three, and the house had never felt more empty in her life. While her brother and father grieved in private, Lala made sure no one ever knew that she could cry. 

It meant screaming into her pillows when she was home alone, indulging in underage drinking and throwing herself into whatever modelling and Instagram influencer jobs she could find. Lala wasn’t one to deal in emotions, and she wasn’t going to let it show. Ever. 

In Hillston, it’s hard to say that much has changed for Lala. Yes, she misses the high life and the LA weather, and yes she misses whatever friends and followers she did have. But she’s all about that rebranding life, and trying her best to be the most iconic version of herself. 

Inspired by reality television, it is her one and only dream to find herself the star of her own show, or be a main character in someone else’s. 

CONNECTIONS

I’m pretty flexible with connections, and I love to plot things out, but here’s a few that I can shoot out because why not. Breaks the ice and gets us going 

ODD JOBS - Lala’s 18, she needs a job and her allowance to keep up maintenance on herself. As much of a princess she treats herself like, she isn’t above walking some dogs or shoveling snow out of someone’s driveway 

FRIENDS (from high school) - She’s a social butterfly, so even if your character has graduated, it doesn’t matter because Lala will find a way to befriend them. We don’t know how, but not all of us are Lala Elizabeth Faulkner 

CASUAL AFFAIR - this is a romantic connection. Lala identifies as heterosexual, but she’s dipped her toes in the pools of bicuriosity. She’s not looking for love, and her affiliations with these people is merely casual, but could evolve to something more. 

INSTAGRAM FANS - it’s kind of like Ingrid Moves West, minus the high stakes of the whole movie. Just someone who loves her content!
