This has been a long journey.

A lot of ups and downs went into this, it was a long story with probably more plot than it needed, that I've been writing since November & December of last year! There was confusion in what universe these girls played in, confusion in plots, friendship gains and losses, angst that tore out my heart, adrenaline as I tried to time posts- it's been a rollercoaster of a blog.

This post will be crediting and thanking everybody who was part of the stories of @drista-the-parity-goddess and @lanusky-the-imparity-goddess, as in spite of where our relationship stands today, I do love and value everyone who joined me on this silly adventure.

Without further ado, here is that thank you.

Drista's first interaction was with @gildedgasmask ! Thank you to Mask and her system for giving my girl her first bit of story, and a good laugh. Thank you for accompanying us throughout the journey of telling her story and especially for the tupper RPs in the cafe. I will always cherish the silly back and forths where Drista or Lani were obviously in the wrong and your tupper Beep was a smartass about it (affectionate). It helped me develop their characters in ways I was unaware they could have developed! Thank you as well to @farmers-boy for being an older sibling figure to Lani!

Drista's second ever interaction was with @angelxxreaper ! Thank you to Cam for being there for such a long period of their stories, thank you for supporting us for so long. Your Phil was a father to Lani. Your Phil's effect on Drista, in the timeline where she is a part of his story, was major. She learned a lot because of angelxxreaper, and I am ever grateful that your rp character taught her so much, just as you taught me so much! ♡

@hergoddessofdeath and @areyouawakexd made a such huge impact on Drista and Lani's story. From Lady Death smothering Drista's flame over and over, being Lani's Mother Gothel- you played a wonderful and terrifying antagonist, Sunspell. Additionally, XD's relationship with Drista somewhat fostered not only Drista's turn toward kindness, but also the friendship we held for so long. I will always cherish their kinship, and what you taught me about the craft of literature through these blogs.

@eternalelytra literally the only dad figure ever i love this guy right here!!!! wish our blogs could have interacted more, but Lani loved and resembled your Phil in so many ways and I love their relationship sm frfr.

@the-silent-deer our interactions were short and sweet but I loved having you as a callahan for us!! hugs!!

@god-of-sea , AKA Foolish had such a huge impact on Drista, both in ways that were seen and that weren't. Foolish being an older sibling figure/even father figure to Drista is something I'm ever grateful to @finntaur for providing. It was a figure Drista's story needed; from personal past experiences I can say with certainty that I'm glad it was you, Finn, who could play that figure for her. Also a huge shoutout to @purpled-of-ln and @smp-archivist for having a hand in Drista and Lani's stories. Our memories in this silly tumblr roleplay are forever going to be cherished.

Lani's older sister @sootsunrise hardly needs an introduction. Suri's writing has always captivated and floored me, its intricacies and its floweriness never failed to amaze. Regardless of that, Wilbur's sisterhood with Lani was my favorite thing to come back to, the way Wilbur never failed to be there for Lani when she needed her. I feel that writing them brought Suri and I closer, and helped me learn about writing description in particular. Thank you, Suri! ♡

@subtotechno, @anarchist-swine, and @theydemandblood, thank you for being Technoblade figures in Drista's story! (All accounts are run by different people, give them all a follow ♡)

The ending, as it tends to go, was never planned.

It happens the night after the party, after everyone's gone home. Lani does laundry- a typical domestic moment which every TV show necessitates to wrap up an episode. 

"Mooooommmm?" Their enderian eldest daughter chirps, stepping into the laundry room with a guilty look painting her face. "So, uh- Felix told me you were wondering what happened to the mayonnaise…"

There's a laugh track as the lights begin to fade, and suddenly Niki Jr. slumps over like a puppet with her strings cut. Lani nods, quiet approval, and begins to make rounds about the house. She finds Drista slumped over in the bed again, and the triplets all in a cuddle pile in the living room. Everyone in their places for the next day's "episode". 

Lani snaps her fingers, and Drista's body maneuvers itself to be in a more comfortable spot on the bed. The Goddess of imbalance lays beside her platonic betrothed, partly to sleep, partly to brainstorm. She ponders what the viewers will enjoy, what they'll want to see. 

Because after all, when the lights fade, Lani can see. Lani has sight, in her perfect world. She has sight, and a perfect relationship with her mother and platonic wife.

It's then that she sees Drista's soul- naturally detached from her body, looming over her. 

"Hi Lani." Drista greets, deadpan. "What's goin' on?"

"I- you aren't supposed to be here." Lani sits up, phasing through Drista's soul as she does. Drista grunts, as if that causes her pain. "Get back in your body."

"Nobody's in their body, Lanusky, c'mon. You know none of this was asked for."

"I don't know what you mean." Lani turns away, and Drista huffs.

"Wake up, Lani."

"You need to stop." 

"Wake up! This isn't what anybody wants! You can't keep this up forever!"

"It's perfect here. I am Order. You're for cheap laughs. We work well together."

"Lani." 

"Drista."

Drista snaps her fingers, with another sigh. "What's this, then?"

Suddenly Lani is exposed to what she's done. She sees the souls she's tormented by puppeting their bodies. She sees Niki in the midst of a panic attack. She sees Puffy trying desperately to get her body to put down a butcher knife. 

Drista snaps again, and next, Lani sees Ranboo's body slowly falling away in water as his soul begs it to get out of the ocean. 

Again. Lani sees her mother, placed in her body and happier than ever without her. The fake mother falling away. Again. Lani sees Lya, Aimsey and Hannah. All three of their souls reach for their bodies, longing to be themselves. Again. Again. Again.

Lani hears the tens, hundreds of souls she's forced to play along in her game. 

"Is this perfect to you?" Drista asks. Lani swallows hard. "Is this what you wanted?"

"I- well-"

"It is, isn't it? It's what you wanted when you manipulated me, when you manipulated Lya." The teenage Goddess sounds pained. "I can't just leep letting you do whatever you want, it's hurting people. You get that, right? You can't exile Gods from their bodies and just- just expect that to be fine."

"It's not-"

"Lani." 

Suddenly, XD stands behind his sister, watching silently. Lya's soul stands beside Drista. Niki, Puffy, Jack Manifold, Ranboo, Aimsey, Hannah, everyone, everyone affected. They all stand in a circle around her. 

Drista speaks again. "Lani, I woke in this realm, and I was the problem. Over and over again, I was the problem. I was everyone's little sister." Drista's body reclaims her. She draws an axe, made purely of Gold.  "I saw different timelines, caused trouble in every one I set foot in. Messed with Lady Death in every one, hated her in every single one. I was the bad guy. I was chaos."

"You are."

"That's what sets us apart, I think." Drista continues, without regard to Lani. "Chaos is capable of change, chaos loves change. As much as it loves trouble, it loves change more. I loved change. I loved humanity. I loved love. I chose love. I became balance."

The Goddess holds the axe out to Lani, for her to walk into if she so chooses.

"Our existence is a dichotomy. This world doesn't need a Goddess of Imparity. This world needs love, and it's lacking in it. So I need you to let go. Join your Mother, be safe in your limbo. Take comfort in knowing you accepted love instead of control and manipulation for once."

Suddenly, Lani's perfect world is gone. Her vision evades her. She can feel the scars decorating her. She becomes increasingly aware of the enemies surrounding her, that she's ruined her life. There's no saving this. 

She lets out a sob. 

She trembles.

She accepts.

Episode 4: Forget Ferris Bueller!

Today is it: The best day off ever. Our characters are determined to make today like no other, parties and game nights galore!

(There's a distant voice.)

(The voice is closer, suddenly, as if right in Niki's ear.)

Puffy! You're never going to believe who I-

...what are you doing?

(Puffy looks up, silently. She's cutting up a steak, blood splattered all over her shirt from butchering a cow at the butcher shop she works part time at. Her shirt is white, making the blood splats all the more obvious. The knife shakes in her hand, as if deep down, she doesn't want to be holding it. She's mostly a vegan at this point-)

[Stick to the script.]

(She's new to cutting meat, since her job as a butcher is new, so she doesn't want to mess up. Still, when she sees Niki, she smiles.)

Hi Niki, I'm preparing dinner!

[The program turns to static for just a moment. Did time pass? You, the viewer, can't tell. And if, when you next check the date, five days have passed, it rolls off your mind like water.]

[Your screen flashes "Technical Difficulties"]

[We return to your program, now.]

Hey, are you-! Oh wow, hi! It's been awhile, it's Drista from highschool!

"Yeah! Hold on." [Felix digs into his hoodie pocket and pulls out a ten dollar bill.] "Here's my allowance. For your help n'... stuff."

[Audrey laughs.] "He's bad at making friends, sorry. Thank you for your help!"

[Aimsey has a seashell, its almost as big as her heads. It's pointy, but it has swirls and a big open hole in the bottom.]

[She pulls out another one, it's a big shell. It's like one of those seashells you'd see with a pearl in it, but she opens it and it's empty. She closes it again, and it has lines and swirls all over it.]

"Ooh!" [Audrey jumps up and down. She thinks that the second one is beautiful.] "That one's so neat!"

[Felix is hardly entertained, until he turns and sees the first one, and his jaw drops.] "Woah, that one's huge! You could pro'lly sell that for good money!"

[A little boy's voice from behind Aimsey says, just loud enough to hear. A little girl's voice gasps.]

[Audrey looks awestruck.] "You're really cool looking!" [She grins.]

"Woah dude.... a big kid!"

[A little boy's voice from behind Aimsey says, just loud enough to hear. A little girl's voice gasps.]

Episode 3: Stop Your Beachin'!

On the outskirts of Dream City, the town in which Essempi resides, there's a beautiful beach where people play volleyball, host bonfires, and even have weddings! Today our characters lay out their towels and have a blast! (Until teenager problems start to kick in!)
