Only 2 days until the start of the BG3 Appreci-May-tion event!

Ever spent the night in tears over an amazing fic update? Scrolled for ages, looking at someone's stunning art of their Tav? Felt particularly touched by someone else's work? Then this is the event for you! What is it? A BG3 Fandom event to appreciate other fandom creatives! For every day in the month of May 2024, we've created a corresponding prompt list, which you can use to write fics/draw for other people's characters. Whether it be for a Tav, Durge, OC, or even a reader character set in a specific fic's universe, we encourage you to show your appreciation for the other talented authors in this fandom.

Who can participate? Anyone who'd like to! Whether you're a writer, an artist, or another creative, we're welcoming absolutely anyone who would like to join in ♥

I just found about this event, but I still want to participate. Can I still contribute, even if I'm late for the prompt I choose? Yes! The prompt's assigned days are there as an organizational guideline, but we're more than happy to have you post your creations whenever you can. No pressure! How do I participate? Using the list below, select one of the prompts you're interested in, and write a fic involving another creative's OC/Tav/Durge/Reader. When the day corresponding to the prompt you picked comes, post your work! Be sure to link to the original creator's work! Give our Tumblr a tag (@bg3-apprecimaytion) as well as using the event's tag #bg3apprecimaytion2024 so we can see and reblog your works! If you'd like, we also have an AO3 Collection!

Beginnings are hard, but maybe its even a bit harder in the case of Astarion and Torimgetih. Some issues arise regarding eating habits and a patron gives Astarion some things to think about.

Story summary:

After the mind flayer crisis, Astarion and most of his companions moved to the Grand Duchy of Dornig, the territory built upon the ancient home of the elfes. In Reywald, they have been trying to search for a cure for Astarion's vampiric condition through any means possible.

On a day, like any other in the last couple of years, a new challenge comes to the barkeeper vampire spawn's life in a shape of a strangely small dragon.

Hands dragging Rolan down symbolize his fears and the threats he faces every day. He risks to succumb to this stance and let it swallow him. And he probably would have given up if not for his siblings who believe in him, who rely on him and who help him survive all the challenges

The BG3 Appreci-May-tion Event

Oftentimes, love and support from others means the world to people. Knowing someone else appreciates and values one's work can be an incredible boost for inspiration, motivation, and passion. Yet, sometimes, those works aren't given the love they deserve.

That's why we've decided to make an event to appreciate other fandom creatives!

Using daily prompts for the month of May, we're hosting an event to write or draw for other people's characters. Whether it be a Tav, Durge, OC, or even a reader character set in a specific universe, we're encouraging you to show your love for other creators with some appreciation. Since there are plenty of smaller, less appreciated creatives out there, we do highly encourage you to write or draw for a creator with smaller works - but any works are welcome.

Below, you will find all the prompts for the month, which you can use to create a story or a piece of art. When the day comes for the corresponding prompt, post your work! Please be sure to link to the original fic you're taking from!
