I’m not in charge of the reading list for the group this month so I’m going to actually be doing the reading instead of scrambling to find acceptable books that won’t get me made fun of and so that should be fun.

The Mind-Body Problem by Rebecca Goldstein.

The Life of the Mind by Christine Smallwood.

Severance by Ling Ma.

A Touch of Jen by Beth Morgan.

The Idiot by Elif Batuman.

Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann.

I have read 0/6 of these books and so I’m actually looking forward to a new experience and getting to know and learn new things. I’ve been looking for new subjects to talk about at my dinners and I have a slight feeling that at least one of these books will make me positively insufferable for at least a week but I am so ready to have some brand new literature at my mercy.
