Her hands on his neck made his skin feel like it was on fire, in the best way possible. She always made him that way. When they were together, everything was just so intense and nothing else in the world mattered but the two of them. Dominic always thought that she felt the same way and he was fully hoping that they would go the full nine yards. Dominic truly missed her. He missed her so fucking much. He just couldn’t admit it out loud.
As Lauren pulled away and he swore he saw a ghost of a pout, his eyes softened from the lust filled gaze he had and he sighed softly. It was probably for the best, honestly. If they were to have sex again, things would get even weirder…but there was a part of Dominic that thought that maybe, just maybe, if they did again, things would magically be fixed again. He knew that wasn’t going to happen. Dominic placed his forehead against hers and closed his eyes. His fingertips traced soft circles on her thighs before he huffed and pulled away, “Right. Yeah. Food.”
Dominic ran his fingers through his hair and walked over towards his bedroom to grab his phone, “Yeah, of course. Stay as long as you like.” He called out as he grabbed his phone. Walking back into the living room, Dominic pulled up GrubHub and began to sift through the options, wanting to distract himself with anything else than the thought of Lauren of his table right now, “What do you want to eat?” He asked, licking his lips idly.

“I’m sorry,” Lauren said, watching Dominic back off. She held back a sigh, it felt like she was always saying sorry to Dom. She sighed, closing her eyes as she shook her head. She should move off the table but... “I’m not...trying to be a tease, you know? I just, I don’t want us to get...carried away with each other. Right now,” she told him, straightening up a little and crossing her legs.
She frowned then, as she watched him, lips pursed just a little. “Unless you’d like me to go? I probably shouldn’t have just assumed...I could stay,” she murmured, slipping off the table, hands smoothing over the skirt of her dress. She stayed leaning against the table though, hands pressing down onto the table.
“Whatever you feel like is fine. Though I wouldn’t say no to Italian, to go with this wine,” Lauren told him lightly, trying to ease the tension in the room. She bit her lip, Dominic couldn’t even look at her. “God, I’m sorry. I’ve made things awkward, haven’t I?”
