"Abrams Falls" - a photo proving my hiking skills.
I recently went to Cades Cove in the Rocky Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We hiked 2.5 miles up to the most gorgeous waterfall, "Abrams Falls". This is my retouched photo of looking into that waterfall.

Jackson Pollack
Jackson Pollack seemed to have mental “demons” that drove his style. The time he grew up in seemed so staunch and so structured, but his brain was complete chaos from the beginning. He discovered art as an escape from reality in my opinion. His being raised in the west was a big influence on his beginning styles and then to be trained in school would have meant learning the ways of traditional art of the past and of the current times. But, due to the chaos in his brain he was destined to evolve to the way of the “drip” paintings. I believe his mind had a picture of what he wanted to put on the canvas but because his brain was so scattered internally that is how it came out of him onto the floor. He knew exactly what he was doing. It probably made perfect sense when he went into his painting trances. Therefore, the beauty of his internal struggles, whether they be his up bringing or while he was trying not to drink were also able to come out through his painting. This hopefully was freeing him of some of the torment that seemed to be always going through him. His paintings seem to be something that were created as a means of clearing the mental dust out and releasing him of torment. I feel they gave him peace for a while until it was just too much to handle anymore.

Sonia Delaunay-Terk, Simultaneous Dresses (Three Women, Forms, Colors)
Figure 5.6
Page 8
Simultaneous Dresses by Sonia-Delaunay-Terk uses geometric shapes both in the background of the walls and the creation of the dresses that create a feeling of depth using color blocking. The diagonal lines on the floor draw the eye to the wall but also balance the whole piece. The three dresses create variety as each has its own distinctive pattern. They are also emphasized by the position in the left forefront.

Color: CONNECTING ART TO YOUR WORLD
Color has affected me through my last move. When I moved into my condo the entire place was "Realtor beige". Floors, walls, trim even the furniture that needed to be taken out was bland. So, I came in and painted all the walls a light hue of gray with a tint of blue and the trim a bright white. My couch didn't fit so I took that opportunity to purchase a brilliant intense navy blue couch. Paired with my lime green dining chairs I turned my space from boring to beautiful.
The color scheme of my life would be:

Bad Layout Design
Tumblr media
There is way too much going on here. Where does the user even begin to find what they want? Way too many choices all in one line. Products bouncing around with no clear reason for them. The intent of this layout is really not clear. The user must sift through the entire site to find what it s they are looking for and gets lost in the shuffle of products. It’s too overwhelming.

SELF-PORTRAIT:
I am 52 years old.
I align as female.
I was born in Minnesota, but moved to Indiana at 17 and then Florida at 25.
I am Polish/German/Irish and European.
For fun I like to attend live music concerts, go to Epcot at Disney World and Universal Orlando and travel to Nashville a few times a year. I also enjoy reading a good book and programming databases for work and just for fun.
I am a Florida licensed Real Estate Broker.
I work at Rent Me Florida – A statewide property management company.
What makes me unique is that I think I’m funny (but most of the time I’m sure people don’t get my jokes), I am sensitive, a great friend and mother, and a very hard worker.
