"maybe, but i guess you have to ask yourself if you'd rather be outside and working on the garden during the morning when the sun isn't out all that much or if you want to be out when the sun is at it's highest and when you'll sweat the most." she offered, brows raising. "i'll treat you to some good food after, i promise."

"The sun isn't even all the way risen," Pei Ming disagrees blearily. That's early. "The garden must still exist later in the day, the vegetables don't all disappear after the strike of noon." But despite his complaints, and the early hour, he follows her anyway, oddly looking forward to it.

"hey, i'm looking at the road. it's out there and i know exactly where it is!" kate joked, glancing at the other for a brief moment before focusing on the road once again. "look, just trust me. just because i might be bisexual doesn't mean that i can't drive. we're going to get to where we're going safely so don't worry."

"Don't look at me. Look at the road!" and even Hannah's focus went to the road, hoping that they don't lose their way. "I know there's no accidents so far, but I'm still nervous! You're making me nervous!" She held onto the car's indoor handle just in case. "Especially with you smirking like that!"

"yeah, i doubt there will be much warning." a humorless chuckle slipped from his lips as he shook his head, trying to imagine that they got a little warning every time something crazy happened. "i guess i just need to stop thinking about it."

she wanted the same ― to know. her dreams did not tell her much of how to prepare for certain dangers in your daily life. tilting her head, she gave him a small smile ❝ what is the worse that can happen? we seem to not be able to die for long, that much am i aware of. maybe you can be prepared once it happens, if it gives us a little warning before it does ❞

emily looked down at her outfit, the corners of her lips turned up slightly. "i do usually end up wearing a lot of white and blues and just light pastel colors in general." she admitted as she pulled at her sweater. "i've never been a human. i've only ever been an angel and been up in heaven so this is all new to me. it's exciting and scary at the same time."

gale nodded her head, arms crossing over her chest, "yeah, it seems like it." she glanced around, shaking her head. "it seems like everyone from woodsboro is showing up. you're here, sidney's here, tatum, dewey and billy are here too." she admitted, trying to remember if anyone else had shown up other than them.

her brows rose as the other told her not to joke with her, "i'm not joking with you or anyone. i'm not really much of a joker." pamela admitted with a small shrug of her shoulders, not really understanding what was going on. "yeah, i have no idea what you're talking about. besties and sometimes more? is this some kind of friends with benefits thing? your way of hitting on me?"

"come on now, don't joke with me, it's not funny." and she knows fun but this wasn't, it kind of hurts because she was one of the most important people in her life or well, just the one actually, the only one that perhaps she cares about. "it's me, harley, you know, we are besties and sometimes even more than that but basically that and you know...i'm not that forgettable."

faye nodded her head, acting as if she were actually thinking over the two options. "i think it'd be a lot safer for everyone else if i just got the coffee. i also don't feel like getting arrested for breaking someone's face."

yan wushi nodded once at the other's question before he quickly shook his head, "well, it hasn't exactly happened often." an awkward laugh fell from his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest. "it's just happened once, but i guess it's just stuck with me." he admitted, shrugging his shoulders. "it's weird. is this a common thing here?"

Despite the fact that the other goes ahead and asks his second question before waiting on the answer for the first-- Chiye makes a noise of suspicious affirmation. "I have," he replies, crossing his arms over his chest thoughtfully. "Just once." Out of similar situations recently, Zhuyin doesn't count, since she'd known him through his brother. But the younger man who sometimes follows him like a shadow-- Ding Tao-- still holds that he'd met Chiye before, when that's clearly incorrect. "Does it happen to you often?"

a chuckle slipped from his lips as he shrugged his shoulders, "maybe you would've." he took a sip from his own drink before shaking his head. "no, you're good to drink it. i only plan on having this one so you're free to have that one and any other free drinks they give me while i'm sitting here."

"I guess I'll be grateful to you, instead of offended I didn't get a free drink too," Wei Wuxian laughs, reaching out to slide the offered glass closer to him. He halfheartedly double-checks, "You're sure you don't want to save it for later? These go down fast, you know-- you might change your mind in thirty seconds, and I'm not giving it back once I drink half."

phoebe shrugged her shoulders, arms crossing over her chest, "well, i guess i only have a few friends here and one is definitely my husband." she admitted with a shake of her head, a soft chuckle falling from her lips. "that makes sense. i've met a few people out of time."

"I am inclined to agree," she speaks with a small smile as the other spoke. "I don't think I have a good friend here. Well," Jane pauses, thinking about Tarzan. "I have a friend, but he's more.. a lover, really. We both come from a place, I'd say.. out of time. If that makes sense?"

sophie nodded her head as she glanced at the kitten, "you're right and i'm sure there are plenty of vets around here that i could take them to." she said as she started to scratch the top of the kitten's head. "i think this is what they call the cat distribution whatever." she laughed, looking up at madoka. "no, that's not weird at all. i don't know anything and really don't have anything."

"well you should probably take her to a vet, even if you're going to keep her." madoka said, looking at the cat with wide eyes. she really couldn't judge. as a cat lover herself, with her own that had been a stray she found she definitely understood how this sort of situation happened. "though maybe we should stop at my place first, if that isn't too weird. it's just that it's close i have some cat treats that should help keep it calm."

vex nodded her head, a dreamy sigh escaping her lips as she looked at the shoes. "i know, but maybe i need to buy them. i'm trying to come up with a reason, any reason, that i could use as an excuse to get them." she looked away from the shoes, her gaze focusing on the other.

"I do believe you might be asking the wrong person," a little chuckle couldn't help but to exhale as Diana looked over at the pair of shoes the other had been tempted by. "They are gorgeous," she sighed, trying to think of a way to help the girl. "A budget is a budget. I'd say stay on budget, just in case. You'd rather be safe than sorry, right?"

deena shook her head, a chuckle slipping from her lips. "i'm strangely not into scary movies. real life is scary enough. though i'm almost tempted to name some random romantic comedy. that can be pretty scary." she admitted, the tone of her voice joking.

"A little bit," she allowed a chuckle to follow the other girl's. "It's a loaded question, because I think my favorite scary movie changes from time to time. I've really been enjoying my annual re-watch of the Hellraiser franchise. What's your favorite scary movie?"

his brows drew down in confusion as he kept his gaze glued to her face. ruhn could remember the dream very vividly. he could remember seeing her, even if she had just been made of flames. he could make out features though and the woman in front of him looked like her. "but it's you. it is you, right? the woman from the dream?"

and something washes over her, like a warm flame burning away a film over her brain. for the first time in a long time, lidia feels like she can breathe and its all coming back to her in bursts, though she doesn't show it an inch. with a blink, she's looking at him with new eyes, and realizing that he still thinks she's just a girl with a dream, that there isn't anything more than some unfounded memory and she...she hates herself a little when she lies, keeping that up, wishing he looked at her with the eyes she knew instead of the ones she didn't. " that's...that's impossible."

her brows drew down the moment she felt someone's touch on her shoulder and then heard a stranger's voice say her name. vex turned around, the confusion still clear on her face as she looked the stranger over. "yes?" she questioned, her confusion deepening the longer she stood there. "can i help you or something?"

@lavendaers for vex / she was pretty sure she was dreaming. cassandra had just briefly glanced up from her laptop, considering ordering another coffee - as though the two they'd already finished weren't enough (they weren't, if she planned on finishing this chapter today) - when she spotted vex'ahlia. the blond nearly tripped in her rush to get up, moving across the coffee shop to reach over and tap vex on the shoulder. " vex'ahlia? " it occurred to them maybe a moment too late that perhaps vex'ahlia was not one of those whose memories had returned yet.

"but it might?" deen questioned, brows raising slightly. her head tilted to the side as if she were thinking it over before she started to quickly shake her head. "no, i shouldn't do that. i don't want to spend the rest of the day having the caffeine shakes."

cindy looked over at the other at what they were attempting to read. "i am not sure consuming caffeine would help your focus. at least not more than the one cup." though they didn't quite know if the statement was serious or not.

it wasn't often that gu mang was struck speechless, but in that moment he couldn't think of what to say. "see, that hasn't been my experience here." a chuckle slipped from his lips as he shook his head. "let's just say the place i'm from isn't like this, though there was that time i worked in that brothel."

"eh, that's fine. it's just funny, you know. they think i'm just gonna give them my number or my ass because they give me some kind of pick up line." mickey shook his head. "i'm not some desperate slut, ok. i got standards."
