They say it’s National Sister Day. My sister is still trying to sell me...LOL!!! She’s the smartest, coolest, and hardest working person I know. When we were kids, she use to throw candy parties where she gathered all our friends in the neighborhood and had them chip in to buy candy and all kinds of junk food we weren’t suppose to have and we’d sit on the front porch and have a great time. If you didn’t put your money in, you couldn’t participate. Kat made it known. That’s law. That’s where she got her Community Organizing skills from and now she is teaching it. Tori knows I love her to the moon and back. She is amazing. She told me she was scared to start kindergarten, but I gave her a pep talk to boost her confidence and she gave me this big smile. I know, she’s going to do well because we all will be rooting for her and probably crying too. The baby is not a baby anymore. She’s about to start real school. Where has the time gone? Happy Birthday Mommy!!! Thank you for all that you’ve done for myself and my siblings. I love and appreciate you. You were my first teacher. You pushed, motivated, and supported me in anything I chose to do. My protector, you are and always will be my Shero. I thank God everyday that he made you my mother. I’ve seen you sacrifice so much, not only for us but for others. You’ve never been the selfish type. I aspire to be like you one day. When and if I ever have children, I want to be as loving and attentive as you were to all of us. You loved us all equally but I think you loved on me a bit more because I the baby and I was always under you. I have seen you make a way out of no way.
