Why some people are so mean?
People carry heaviness, unresolved anger, sadness and trauma within them. We experience it as shortness, coldness, unfriendliness, or just being down-right-rude. But it is that which they carry that has taken them over. They are acting from that old beat up person that still lives within them still. Try to sense that when these people are acting this way towards you. Feel or sense the heaviness that lies within their eyes and body. The unresolved past that is just there.
We see this easier with animals. If you walked through a dog pound and a dog snarled and growled at you, you’re more likely to think: ah, poor guy, he must have had a mean owner. And you’d have compassion for the dog. You’d understand more that just the mean dog that was in front of you. You wouldn’t call the dog mean or bad, your sympathy and compassion would replace all of that.
But it is the same with humans too, if one snarles, is rude or mean to you, they have had a mean owner so to speak; they were treated poorly by someone that was supposed to love them. This is how it goes. That meaness that was put into them by a supposed loved one is passed to you and you just simply don’t see the lineage of it all.
Try to just step back a bit and see or sense this all playing out. Feel what comes to you in their presence and by all means protect yourself, you don’t deserve abuse, but feel the feelings that come to you, breathe and just slow it down a bit and try to see this hurt person passing their hurt onto you. See this game of passing pain.
The pain you feel is the pain they feel or have felt, feel it and let it in and you’ll end the game, you won’t pass it onto others you meet and the hurt will be laid to rest a bit. It won’t have the fire and bite to control you and that will help to lighten the load for all of us.
I hope this makes sense and maybe helps
~greg

You said that everything would be okay
And that we could settle down
In a house by the river.
Well, look at us now.
I don’t know where I am
I don’t know where I will go
Maybe someday you will love me
But I don’t think that I can wait
Maybe someday you will love me
But I don’t think that I can wait
Maybe someday you will love me
But I don’t think that I can wait
Maybe someday you will love me
But I don’t think that I can wait
Maybe someday you will love me
But I don’t think that I can wait
Maybe someday you will love me
But I don’t think that I can wait
