Hi @spinchip I saw your post about wanting to commission Ice Emperor x Sea Nya and I was like "Oh! I could draw that for him! Plus sounds like a pretty interesting ship" and within minutes of drawing it I was fucking obsessed

Hi yeah me here to overanalyze Morro and DOTD again

Morro's short moment of redemption carries like. A lot of weight to me. Because not only did he show himself as wanting to do better, he was also already beginning to abandon his "i am better off alone/am stronger because I don't need others" mindset. Did he do this intentionally/did this register to him? Probably not! But it happened!! Bare with me here okay

If he'd still been in that mindset, he would have gone after Cole and to Yangs temple on his own right. He still would've technically been doing something good, but it would've been on his own terms. He would have either believed himself capable enough to defeat Yang, or believed it was an impossibility that Wu and the Ninja would trust him at all. Or both.

But instead, he recognized that that kind of thing wouldn't work. It *hasn't* worked. He is not capable of this without others. He needed to risk it and tell Wu, risk it and tell the Ninja, risk offering that hand, even though he knows that in doing so his time will be up and he'll just have to watch them leave to hopefully see it through.

And it WORKS, because the only reason Cole survived wasn't because someone else appeared to fight beside him, it was because he saw the people he cared about were there for him and it gave him the strength to go on.

The writers were most definitely 100% intentional with all of this and I am most definitely not just reading into everything and overanalyzing everything i possibly can. Don't worry about it everything is fine

god i love morros story im so sorry hes so complex (def not bc of poor writing shhh) and- in my opinion- the best villain ninjago has ever made, like hes just so human yknow???? ironic bc hes a ghost BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN YEA anw season 5 has always been my favourite season i just really love the whole ghost aesthetic and the worldbuilding they added that season also the fact that it plays outside of ninjago city for the majority of it, morro is honestly just a little cherry on top of all of that and oh my god what a cherry this guy is. like i dont even know how to explain it but him being wu's first student??? false expectations??? obsession??? I DONT KNOW BUT U GET ME YEA YEA anw i love this guy and i may or may not have three of his minifigs but nobody needs to know

I actually did draw Euphrasia back when I first watched DR. Mainly bc I saw a bunch of Euphrasia hate and was like NUH-UH for every hate post I see I´ll draw her again.

(just fyi I drew this way before I found out about the new hairpiece, I LOVE THE NEW HAIRPIECE, I just didn't want to redraw all of this)
