went to my very first jonas brothers show on my twenty-first birthday in birmingham today and i am not lying when i say it was the best birthday ever ✨
I’ve always found comfort in using religious imagery to get across my point. I hope that it helps out kids who are feeling disenfranchised within their communities, whether they’re religious or queer or whatever. I just think that there’s definitely a commonality in those two themes.
so I saw Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in cinema today and a few points:
1) better than the first film in my opinion
2) I love Diaval and he’s even better in the sequel
3) “I missed you” - YESSSS
4) Phillip’s cute but not bright
5) the fae with the white wings - (the Tundra fae, Udo, according to Wikipedia) immediately had me interested and I need an entire movie just about him and his backstory
6) I had a whole theory going that the red headed female minion of the queen was actually her daughter who she had out of wedlock with Aurora’s dad, King Stefan, and that was going to be the reason why the Ulstead queen wanted to kill Maleficent but then it wasn’t true
7) for a film I wasn’t sure I wanted to see as I didn’t really love the first one, I’m glad I did and highly recommend it
