features broke into a wide grin, creasing the lines on a normally youthful space. blue irises sparkled in the light of the chandelier that was too pompoms for steve's liking. he dipped his head, lips curling as if they held a secret.

"how'd you know?" he mused, shoulders shifting as he bit back a quiet laugh. honestly, the fact rogers had a moment to himself was a small blessing.

steve brought the glass to his lips, savoring the sweet, floral taste that washed over his tongue. it did nothing but he enjoyed the flavor.

eyes left aisling, though not for long. he swept the crowd, wondering if anyone was searching for her.

"kinda stuffy in here, isn't it?' a brow swept upwards as the massive man nodded towards the open balcony. "want to step outside?"

Aisling had only found herself there by being on the arm of someone fairly important in that world, but he had wandered off to "do business" or whatever, leaving her alone. Which was fine, really; he was a bore and she had her eye one someone else entirely.

And she was pleased as punch when he found her interesting enough to approach.

"Aisling." She offered a her free hand, the other casually holding a glass of prosecco. "Are you just as bored as I am, Steve? For a party, I find this function pretty dull."
