I spent the entire evening remaking every single icon of Oswald from part of season 1 up to season 3 - all that’s left is season 4 and I’m still not up to date, but, in time.

The patience that people have given me here is astronomical, thank you all. I have headcanons to post and episodes to watch and then, I should be way more active here, as, being on this blog feels like home.

Oswald Cobblepot took piano lessons when he was younger, as, it was a way to bond with his father, who loved the music, the notes. Whenever he came home from his  long work shifts, they would sit on their old badly-tuned wooden piano and play.

Later on in life, when Oswald was twelve and in his primitive years, he took up the violin. He kept playing, long after his father died, as music was the way he gained solace, an anchorage, to the grief that he and his mother felt upon his father’s untimely passing.

Upon taking up the instrument however, since it was rented through the school, and he wasn’t a very well-liked young man, he would always run to the music room, grab the violin case, and run the opposite way home and wait, ever-fearful his main oppressors at the time would take it from him, if not destroy it.

To this day, in the mansion he pried from the hands of those who would ever seek to oppose him, he has a grand piano in one of the main rooms and, in his office, locked tight, he has a custom-made black violin.

He plays without sheet music, understanding its language since he was very small. 

This is not something he reveals to many, if at all, due his natural inclinations of distrust. 

It will be a long, long time before he will reveal these melodies to anyone.
