Changing My Storyboard Again.
This time for my project 3, I now know that i want to do a Documentary of me of my transformation from China to elementary school to middle school to high school and college. I want to talk about how I got here and how I struggle with education but also made wonderful friends throughout the years.
The life of ling Shi
My name is ling shi
I grew up in the LES manhattan
I have been living here for 15 years
Broll I was born in Fijian China. In a small village.
My father came to America first. The reason he came was to look for opp.
Once he has enough financial to support the family. He brought me and my mother to America. /broll
When I came to America. I was confused and didn't know how to speak eng.
Broll- I was put to school right away. I went ps.134 Which was a public school near my home. I was having diff. Time Learning eng and trying to communicate with others. I even have to ask someone to be a translator for me and the teacher when I was in first grade./Broll
I think in 4th grade I understood more english that was able to do well by my own but that also made me lose my Chinese language.
I felt that Elementary was hard time for me because I would receive a 2 rather than 4 on my grades because I didn't understand anything and there was no one to help me because every assignments was in English.
B-roll However, I was happy that I graduated elementary achool and I got an gold medal for playing basketball. I was a tomboy. /broll

I went to ms 345. Castle for middle school. It got shut down many years ago. I felt that middle school was the best part of my life.
Broll. I met many friend and had a close relationship with my classmates. I did many fun things in middle. Such as going to school party, going to a getaway and doing fun things on the trip, and going on fun field trip. /Broll
In middle, I try to meet my parents expection on doing well in school. .. I study really hard.
Broll. In middle school, I met many friends from different background and we bond with each other, even tho we were from diff. Background./broll
In 7th grade, i had a wonderful homeroom teacher. Whenever I need helps, wheatear it's for an assignment or having emotional problem she would always be there.

At the end of 8th grade, I graduated middle school and I didn't want to leave.
Another angle??
In 2015, I started high school. I didn't had anyone from my middle school to go to high school with. I was shy to fit in. But that didn't stop me for making me friends.
Broll. In high school, I met friends who shared similar interested as me. Such as watching anime, reading manga, watching drama and listening to music. Broll
In high school, i study really hard on my sat and act in order to get into the college that I want.
Which I did. I went to new paltz which is a suny school. I did many events on campus.
Broll Such as volunteering on campus and joining clubs. I also went hiking and climbing up on the scramble stones.broll.
However, I transfer school because I felt homesick and I felt that it was hard for me to deal with loans. So I went to queens college and I am still here.
This is my life as how I grew up.

For my project 3, I want to do this style because it is about a documentary about Khalid life. It started with the mother and how she was in an army and wanted to be a singer, but she couldn’t. However, her son, Khalid fulfill her dream. I want to create this style because I want to talk about me growing up. In the documentary, they used mostly photos and have a background talking about Khalid and the mother life.

“The first location is my favorite food spot and it is at Queens Crossing. So let's go in.”

“This is my favorite Japanese curry shop because the owner and chef Takanori Akiyama has been perfecting the curry for 15 years.”

This is my style that I want to do on for my video. It about two brothers inviting their friends who are from Flushing to eat and show them around. I want to do this style but maybe in a calm way because that is my personality. I really like that they are talking about food and showing a lot of their emotions.

The six shots from the movie Crazy Rich Asian that drawn to me is when Rachel is being introduce to Nick mother and the mother doesn’t scene happy meeting Rachel because of the background diff. in the asian society. (The first two images show that). The next scenes that I like the most is the 4 images because the camera plays a lot in this scene where the mother told Rachel that she doesn’t like her and the camera follows the movement of how Rachel is going up the stair and then the mother came and talked to her and now Rachel is being pull to go down the stair. This also shows that the mother is powerful in their scene because of the low angle on the mother. I also love that the scene is talking place in Singapore because Singapore is really advance and it is a beautiful place in asian country. I also thought that some scenes in Crazy Rich Asian I could relate to and understand.

Outside of the restaurant
L: This is my favorite all time restaurant that I love to go to. It is affordable, delicious and filling.
So, Let’s go in

L: But my favorite things to get is their drink and their cream puff. Because their drinks are all natural and no sugar add and also their cream puff is not very sweet.

L:a quick history is that this park was originally known as Mulberry Bend park and during the 19thcentury, it this was the most dangerous ghetto area of immigrant. But now this park is offended serves as a gathering place for the local Chinese community.
