-always check up on them!

-give them chores/things to do like making bed every morning or brushing teeth

-sending them cute packages in the mail

-calling/video chatting for little dates

-watching movies together on rabb.it

-use cute pet names and talk to them as if they were a baby

-send cute pictures to each other

-ask them things like “do you have your paci?” or “can you color a picture for me”

-always reward them for a job well done

-refer to yourself as daddy/mommy/what they prefer to call you while regressed

-tell them you love them lots

It’s not stupid. I promise. It’s not stupid to turn into your 5 year old self and get happy beyond measure for the little things. It’s not stupid to be proud of yourself for completing a load of laundry and washing the dishes. You aren’t lame for patting yourself on the back when you chose a salad over a burger. You’re taking care of yourself and each victory - no matter how small - is worth celebrating.

a big part of being happy is being excited. be excited for everything - making a cup of tea, decorating your future apartment, seeing a friend again, falling in love unexpectedly, the next episode of a show you like, finishing something stressful, buying something you’ve been saving up for, a new album, sunsets, traveling, road trips, and the feeling of going to bed after a long day. think of something to be excited about and daydream about it often when you’re sad.
