I think, eventually, I’ll be okay. Eventually, the thought of you won’t send my heart racing or stop my breath. Eventually, you’ll just be a bittersweet memory that I can look back on from time to time without aching. In time, the hole in my heart that’s shaped like you will heal over and scar. I’ll always carry a piece of you with me, but eventually, I will finally be able to let you go.
But I’m not there yet. ‘Eventually’ is a still some distant time that can’t be measured in months or years. But I know I’ll get there someday. (via withinliminalspaces)
