In that gif set with Quinn saying, “I’m a guy who kills bad guys”, I really don’t like that attempt with bangs on Quinn. I don’t think he had bangs in other scenes that season, did he? At least not like these. So uncool.

Ha! Anon, I love a good hair ask! Quinn did seem to be rocking some bangs in that scene. The “do” reminded me of an overgrown Caesar haircut. 

There were other times in season two when the hair would cross over his forehead ever so slightly, as in the gif below.

But uncool? Dear Anon. Sweet Anon. Quinn could be rocking an 80′s mullet, a 70′s shag, or a 50′s greaser coif... Dude will always be the coolest in the room.

FMRF IMPORTANT NEWS

To all of our dear followers and fans of Rupert Friend:

First of all, we want to tell all of you how much we appreciate your support of this blog. It’s been our passion and escape from reality over the past 2 ½ years and we have no regrets.

But like most of you out there, we are struggling here as well. The new normal of our world, our lives, has become overwhelming. The things that used to provide comfort and escape, seem to be dwindling and free time is at a minimum.

We are NOT shutting down the blog, but Homeland is over and all hope for Quinn’s return in any form is gone. And we’d be lying if we didn’t admit that Rupert’s absence from any form of media over the last few months has been extremely disappointing. That being said and although we’ve still been getting asks and requests, it’s been more and more difficult to find the time or the desire to answer them. Therefore, we are sorry to say, a lot of your requests and asks may go unanswered.

We will try to keep up with any breaking Rupert news and we welcome your help in that regard — our inbox will remain open! 

We will also try to keep up our daily reblogging of Every Quinn Scene Ever as well as other Rupert/Quinn reblogs, and any new material that comes out. 

Please stay safe out there and know that we are still here for you. Our promise to keep Quinn alive on this blog still stands!

Hair: 4.12, Funeral Hair. Short enough to present that clean cut post military look, and long enough to grab onto.

Skin: I’m going to go with a Season 3 Tin Man is Down sweaty Quinn. I have MANY fantasies about sweaty Quinn, I won’t go into detail here. LOL

Eyes: 13 Hours in Islamabad. The eyes, so intense here, he’s thinking deeply about something. Hopefully my ass.

 Facial Hair: I like his 4.3 facial hair – moustache ride please!  

 Clothing: I love this grey tee and jeans! FUCK ME.

Shoes: I love his Season 5 boots but I also love a barefoot Quinn with those big old hammer toes!

 Weapon: I’m going to go for sniper rifle.

Smile: Right here, so sincere. So Quinn. 

Physique:  Season 4, I love everything.

Hair: I think I’d have to chose season 3, with season 6 as a close second. (I love his hair longer, but I have to factor in the greasiness, that’s why S6 is runner-up.)

Skin: Anything other than fake 5.01 tan! I’m definitely okay with his pale, British skin, but I love it even more when he’s hot and sweaty!

Eyes: I love his eyes in this scene — it shows all his emotion and the color is fucking incredible! 

Facial Hair: 4.11 again. It’s not too long and not too short! Perfection! 

Clothing: I prefer none at all, but I guess I’ll have to go with the navy shirt of hotness for this one. 

Shoes: Fuck Me Spy Boots!

Weapon: His bare hands!

Smile: Dimples!

Well, we’ve seen him lose his cool before/during/after Quinning, and he’s still sexy AF! 

I think QUINN is synonymous with sexy!

1. What is your idea of a perfect Homeland ending?

Carrie sacrificing herself in some way for her country and proving that she could look outside of herself. I still have faith in her. 

2. Which Homeland character do you most identify with?

Peter Quinn, as I have known unrequited love and I’d like to think I’m as kind as he is. Also I love wearing neutral fabrics. 

3. What has your experience as a fan of the show been like?

Wonderful, horrible and everything in between. This show is responsible for a lot of pain and pleasure, but I keep coming back! Homeland is like the mafia; I try to get out but they just pull me back in.  

4. What is a moment on Homeland that made you sit up out of your seat in awe or shock?

Brody’s death. I have watched live from season one. My feelings didn’t develop for Quinn until a couple years later but I honestly could not, or did not, want to believe that Brody was dead. I actually tried to stir up some conspiracy theories and one of best friends said “But Liz, we saw him die…” I so wanted him to find peace. I suppose after everything he may have. 

5. If you could have the writers redo one storytelling decision, what would it be and why?

Quinn’s “death.” I wish they would have shared with us that truth. Quinn was able to secure a bullet proof vest from Dar Adal (who felt in the final hour he needed to save Quinn) and then he faked his own death only to escape to the woods.

6. If you could be a Homeland character, which one would you like to be?

I would say Quinn but then I’d just be home masturbating in front of a mirror all day and everyone would die because I wasn’t there to save them, so I’ll go with Majid Javadi because that fucker got shit done (yes I realize he murdered someone with a wine bottle–plum wine that is.)

7. What is your favorite episode of Homeland?

Season 4

8. What is your least favorite episode of Homeland?

“America First.” It’s the only episode with Peter Quinn I’ve never watched again. 

9. If you could bring back one character, dead or alive, from the Homeland graveyard, who would it be and why?

Peter Quinn. No explanation needed. 

10. What will be your most enduring memory of Homeland?

I don’t know why, but after losing a parent–one of the most difficult moments in my life–Homeland was the only show I could watch. Perhaps because it was such a wonderful distraction but I found solace in the character dynamics and the pure loyalty, love, and goodness from Peter Quinn. He showed up, he was always loyal and I felt like he was there for me. I appreciated him, even if Carrie did not. 

I also met some incredible ladies through this show, including one of my best friends in life who I can laugh and cry about the ridiculous together – all brought to me through Homeland.

We see Quinn in at least 3 different living arrangements over 3 seasons, do you think he up and moved as soon as he realized he needed to clean? Cause IMO that's a solid game plan for any stressed adult. "Shower's gross again...time to bounce."

     Ha! I love this ask Anon as I constantly think about every aspect of Quinn’s life. I’m assuming Quinn changes locations not because he doesn’t want to clean but because he at one time would never know when his next mission would be. “Man lives like he’s ready to bounce at a moment’s notice” - Max. I imagine Quinn to be methodically clean, he has soldier training and knows how to make a neat bed and clean a rifle, a kitchen should be a piece of cake! 

   I think the condo situation we see Quinn in during Season 4 was his longest term housing (we know he had been there for over 6 months at least). He does, however, not seem that invested in furniture - his bed is basically a mattress on boards and his couch is a futon (both Mission style). I have a feeling its a pre-furnished space, or he just bought whatever was easiest/cheapest because he didn’t give a fuck. But could you actually imagine Quinn hanging this hotel art on the wall? Doubtful.

 I do know in the background he does have a house plant! I really like thinking of Quinn tending to a little house plant - we already know he’s attentive and caring!
