Blaine nodded, capturing Hunter’s lips with his own, practically melting against him, fingers threading through his hair, trying to get him as close as physically possible, to remember this feeling the entirety of Hunter’s next tour. “I love you too,” he whispered, desperate for Hunter not to leave him again, desperate for him to stay here with him. But he knew he couldn’t ask that of him, he couldn’t ask him to give up something he loved for him. He wasn’t that kind of guy.
He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to ignore the stinging pain shooting through his body as Hunter pushed inside of him. A part of him understood why Hunter was being like this, he knew that Hunter was just as scared of Blaine forgetting about him, as Blaine was about Hunter never coming back again. He cried out loudly, arching his back up against his boyfriend, fingers digging deep into Hunter’s side, anything to keep him grounded throughout this. He moaned loudly into Hunter’s mouth as the other dominated the kiss between them, their tongues battling together like it was the only thing that made sense right now.
Hard to say Goodbye || Blainter 001
The kisses were wanted and needed, chasing them each time and sharing their breath between each other. He wanted to take everything he could get from Blaine so that he would remember it all when he was far away from him in a far-off country. “I love you,” he whispered against his mouth, desperate as he said it, wanting the words to be said again and again as if they would change the fact if he didn’t repeat them. He didn’t want to go away again without Blaine knowing how much he loved him.
Hunter didn’t have time nor did he want time to wait to get Blaine ready for him. He wanted him to feel him, every inch of him, and for it to burn so that Blaine couldn’t forget this moment before he left. He always worried that he wouldn’t come back, that he would die out there, and Blaine would be all alone, but he just couldn’t give it up and he was sure that Blaine understood that as much as he found it painful to leave the man each time. He groaned at the heat he was in, growling too at the slight pain in his lip. “Blaine…” he muttered, pulling his lip away to attack him with another kiss as he moved out only to slam back into him.

Hunter found his mind wandering back and forth between every time they had got to spend together before he had to leave to go back to the base. Their first meeting had been one of his favourites and he liked to remember that time any moment he felt lonely or scared, because he did get scared a lot out there when he was all on his own without Blaine by his side, assuring him just with his presence that everything was going to be fine. Hunter felt reassured when Blaine said that he wasn’t going anywhere. That was another fear whilst he was away at base. What if Blaine found someone better, who would always be by his side?
Hunter settled between his legs, running his hands along his thighs as he leaned down to kiss along his stomach. He kissed back up to his mouth, reaching over to the top drawer. He pulled out some lube, kissing him as he quickly got himself lubed up. He didn’t want to hurt Blaine that much but there was some of him that wanted that slight burn that Blaine would feel to remember him when he was gone. He held his hips steady as he pressed into him slowly, moaning into his mouth as he slid up to the hilt.
Blaine happily met Hunter’s kisses, sighing softly against his lips, never wanting this to end, yet at the same time, knowing that their time together was limited so he wanted to leave Hunter feeling completely fulfilled with memories to last him his entire tour. At least that was what he hoped anyway, because he knew after today, their contact would be limited, and wouldn’t be like this for a very long time. He supposed that was what hurt the most.
His breath caught in his throat as Hunter reached over him and pulled out the lube from their bedside table. He whined quietly into his mouth as their lips met once more, because he could feel the heat bubbling in the pit of his stomach in anticipation, knowing that he needed more, and that Hunter was the only one to give it to him, he always had been. He nipped impatiently at Hunter’s lips as he felt his fingers dig into his hips, holding him firmly in place as he slowly slid into him, and Blaine cried out loudly as he felt the slight sting, especially since Hunter hadn’t given him any time to adjust, but, he’d endured more, and he knew that it would be a lasting reminder of their time together before Hunter had to leave once more.
“Fuck....Babe,” he grunted, teeth sinking into Hunter’s bottom lip as he tried to keep his breathing under control as his body submitted fully to the man who held his heart in his hand.

Hunter enjoyed kissing Blaine, taking his time and savouring how sweet and gentle it was. He enjoyed spending time with Blaine and himself, all alone in their bed where it was safe and warm and no one could get them or make them go away when they didn’t want to. His bed with Blaine felt like the only place in the world where the fighting and the war couldn’t get to him and he liked having that safe space. He may seem like he was always in control and nothing could touch him or upset him, but he needed Blaine just as much as Blaine needed him. He needed that security and safety from him, even if he didn’t actively say it out-loud.
Hunter laughed a little himself, leaning in to kiss him back just as heatedly. He let his hand move further over his stomach, trailing fingers along his thigh. “I just want to remember this,” Hunter murmured against his mouth, leaning in to kiss him again and moving his body over his. he let his weight settle over him, sliding his along to his legs. He pushed them up a little, moving between them and head ducking to kiss him deeper.
Blaine was always so compliant in Hunter’s arms, he couldn’t help himself, the other was always so strong and commanding that it just had Blaine melting against him, it was partly how they’d first ended up together int he first place, but that was another story entirely. But, it had solidified their relationship, and Blaine had never looked back to life before Hunter, even throughout the difficult times, because the good always outweighed the bad. He arched his back up off the bed, tilting his head a little more so that he could meet Hunter’s lips easier. “I’m not going anywhere..” Blaine promised Hunter, knowing that he needed to hear that, even with the distance between them, Blaine would always be here waiting for Hunter to return.
He let out a soft little sigh as Hunter rolled them over, pressing his body firmly against Blaine’s, raising his hands to glide teasingly along Hunter’s sides, letting out a low moan as Hunter pushed up his legs a little more, taking full control of Blaine’s body, and he felt his breath catch in his throat in anticipation. Hunter definitely knew how to get Blaine going, better than any man ever could. “Hunter, baby...please...” Blaine breathed out, through heated kisses.

Hunter had been in a very unsure place when he had met Blaine, mostly because he was just really exploring his sexuality and his anger was at an all time high with his home life messed up. Blaine had been the soothing balm to his temper and his uncertainty, and that’s why they worked so well as a couple. They understood each other and knew where the other was coming from and what they needed. He loved Blaine with everything he had and he knew that Blaine did too, despite how much distance they had to have between them.
Hunter kept a hand in the curls, holding him steady as he kissed him back, savouring the taste and feeling for a little while. He didn’t mind how long they took kissing because it was definitely one of the things he missed most when he was on tour. Just knowing how soft and sweet the kisses were from his boyfriend was enough to make any day better for him. “I’ll always love you. You have a place right in my heart that no one else can take away,” Hunter murmured, kissing along his jaw once he had pulled out of the kiss. “I can definitely show you how much I love you.” He slid his hand down along his chest to his stomach.
Blaine hummed softly against Hunter’s lips as he kissed him, he always felt extremely vulnerable like this, especially with the way that Hunter was holding him, but it also made him feel safe and wanted, something Blaine craved for, especially when Hunter was away. “I’m going to hold you to that...” Blaine breathed out, his eyes fluttering shut, tilting his head to the side as Hunter started moving his lips along his neck, giving him as much room as he possibly needed. He could feel his breath catch in his throat as he relaxed back into the bed, reaching a hand up to scratch lightly at Hunter’s scalp, trying to store as much of this to memory as he possibly could, because he knew it would be over far too soon.
He chuckled as he felt Hunter;s hand slid down towards his stomach, glancing at Hunter, “I’d get to it then, Soldier,” he quipped, winking playfully at him, propping himself up so that he could lean forward and capture Hunter’s lips in a heated kiss. He wasn’t going to dwell on the short time they had left, he was going to make sure that they enjoyed themselves for whatever amount of time they had left.

Blaine didn’t really mind Hunter’s controlling nature, it was never something that had really phased him, not really anyway. Blaine was a usually submissive kind of guy, and so long as people were happy, then he didn’t really mind what else was happening around him. Plus, he was able to sense what Hunter needed from him, and he just went with it, knowing that Hunter would always give him what he needed as well, so it was the perfect type of relationship for them both really. Blaine was just glad that they’d found each other when they had.
Blaine hummed softly, feeling a hand tangle in his curls, so strong and secure and he tilted his head slightly so look at his boyfriend, before closing the gap between them and pressing their lips together in a loving kiss. His eyes slid shut as Hunter rolled him over onto his back, and he smiled against his lips, reaching his arms up and wrapping them around Hunter’s neck so that they were closer together. “Good, makes it easier to wait for you knowing that...” Blaine grinned, arching his back slightly so that he could meet Hunter’s lips once more. They definitely had a lot of time to make up for, especially since they didn’t have a date for Hunter’s next home visit, so they really needed to make this morning, “Though, you should probably show me how much you love me too....” he added with a playful little wink.

Hunter was always a lot more physical with Blaine, tending to move him how he liked. He supposed that was his controlling nature, wanting to keep things how he liked them. It was very rare that he managed to shake that from himself, even from back in school. He tried hard to tone it down around Blaine, and having him being so attentive and affectionate certainly helped calm down his impulse to control. But sometimes he just needed things the way he wanted them, almost like a need for perfection as well. He kept up the kisses, pushing a little into them, showing a sign of dominance over him.
Hunter tilted his head a little for the kisses along his jaw, sliding a hand through his curls as he listened to him. He groaned a little as he kissed him deeper, pressing back against it and moving to push Blaine onto his back underneath him. “I love you too. So much,” he murmured, knowing the words would be said a million and one times today. It always happened the day he left. They had to say it enough for the time he would be away.

Blaine allowed Hunter to move him as he wished, a soft sigh falling from his lips as he slid his leg in between his boyfriend’s, raising a hand to cup his face and gently skimming his thumb along his cheek bone. Their tongues moved together and Blaine’s eyes fluttered shut, melting against the other man, saving all of this to memory, something that would help get him through the next few months. He’d come to rely on his memory and imagination a lot since getting with Hunter, and he wasn’t sure whether that was a good thing or not.
He smiled softly, dipping his head to pepper kisses along Hunter’s jawline, only barely listening to what was being said to him, humming in response so that Hunter knew that he was listening to him. “I think that’s a perfect to spend our last day together...” he agreed, pressing himself up against Hunter even closer, immediately crashing his lips against Hunter’s, deepening the kiss immediately, “I love you so much,” he murmured in between kisses.
Hard to say Goodbye || Blainter 001
“It’s not the most comfortable of things, I have to admit,” Hunter murmured, shivering a little from the light touches from Blaine’s fingers but in an enjoyable way. He liked getting to be touched constantly by Blaine, almost a reassurance that Blaine was actually there and he wasn’t just having a huge hallucination about it back at the army base. Hunter ran his own hand through Blaine’s hair, gently and slowly, letting his fingers run through the curls.
Hunter knew that sigh well and it was a sigh he hated more than anything. The sigh meant that they didn’t have long left and he hated that. Hunter brushed his nose back against his, before pulling him in and kissing him slowly, deeply and savouring the moment. “Well, I was thinking that we could… spend some… intimate time in this bed, have a shower, breakfast, and then…” He trailed off, shrugging a little.

“I can’t imagine you sleeping in a cot,” Blaine smiled, his fingers trailing down along Hunter’s side, tracing out idle patterns into his skin, he loved being able to touch him, and he knew how handsy he could be when Hunter was home, but it was mostly because he didn’t know the next time they’d be able to do this. Pictures and memories of each other just weren’t the same, but he knew how much Hunter liked his job, so he’d never dream of asking him to give it up, despite how tempting it was sometimes.
He peered over Hunter’s shoulder to check the time, letting out a little defeated sigh as Hunter said that. “That doesn’t leave us with a lot of time,” he sighed, glancing back down at his boyfriend, brushing his nose alongside Hunter’s, by the time they’d dragged themselves out of bed, maybe had some breakfast and packed up the last of his things, then it would be 3pm at the latest. These last few days had gone far too quickly for his liking. “So, what did you want to do today? We should probably make the most of the time we have left...”
Hard to say Goodbye || Blainter 001
Hunter sighed softly, leaning down to kiss his forehead. “It’s gonna be weird sleeping in a tiny cot again,” Hunter admitted, running his hand along his back. He hated how restless he got the night before they had to split up again. He knew it kept Blaine up too but he just couldn’t sleep, knowing that the moment he opened his eyes, it would be mere hours before he wouldn’t see Blaine again. The little picture in his pocket didn’t make up for not having him there still.
Hunter held him tighter against his chest, breathing deeply as he held him close. The military life wasn’t an easy life. Yes, Hunter adored his job. He liked the discipline and the regimental nature of the job. He liked all of that. But, that didn’t make it easy to leave Blaine each time. Hunter moved his mouth to his, kissing him softly. “3pm at the latest.”

Blaine nodded when Hunter said that, because he knew, he’d noticed how restless his boyfriend had been the night before, and he felt completely helpless because there was nothing he could do to settle him, not really anyway despite him wanting to. “I know...” Blaine murmured softly, tilting his head so that he could get a better look at the man lying next to him, “It’s going to be weird having this bed to myself again...” Sure, he’d have a ton of extra space again, and he’d be able to spread out, but he’d give all of that up in order to keep Hunter here with him.
“Anything you want,” Blaine smiled, shifting his body a little closer to Hunter and tucking himself against him even more, feeling Hunter’s heart beating against his own, he wanted to savour this moment, to remember how content he felt, how complete he felt just lying here with the man he loved. “Love you too,” he hummed, eyes sliding shut as he tilted his head up to press a loving kiss against Hunter’s jawline, “What time do you have to leave today?”
Hard to say Goodbye || Blainter 001
Hunter could hear the sleep in Blaine’s voice and he loved that sound. He could totally appreciate that voice because it reminded him that he was staying in the bed with Blaine and they had gotten to spend the night together. “Not great, but I never do,” Hunter murmured softly, his own voice still heavy with sleep at having just woken up. Everything was so soft and gentle and slow and he liked that feeling. It was that calm before the storm that would be their leaving each other yet again for months. He kept the kiss up for as long as they could, running his tongue along his and pressing himself up against him.
Hunter smiled softly, resting his head against his and rubbing his nose back against his. “Can we have breakfast later? I just… want to cuddle up,” Hunter admitted, pulling him in closer. “I want to just lie here with you.” He kissed his forehead, resting Blaine’s head on his chest. “I love you.” He just wanted him close and with him all time.

“Morning,” Blaine smiled softly, his voice still thick with sleep but he didn’t let it deter him, he only had a few hours left with his boyfriend and he didn’t want to waste any of them. “How’d you sleep last night?” he asked, although he already knew the answer to that, since his night had been much of the same. He smiled as Hunter captured his lips with his own, practically melting against him as Hunter tugged him closer. He slid his leg in between his boyfriend’s, a soft sigh falling from his lips as they parted, his tongue moving alongside Hunter’s in a loving kiss, and he could tell that they were both doing all they could to store these rare few moments together to memory until the next time they were together.
When they finally pulled away from each other, Blaine dipped his head slightly so that his nose slid alongside Hunter’s, letting out a soft breath as he breathed in his boyfriend’s familiar, comforting scent. “Did you want breakfast this morning?” he asked him, “Anything you want, it’s yours...” he meant that, he just wanted Hunter’s last morning here to be as special as it could possibly be, and he was willing to go out of his way to ensure that that happened.
Hard to say Goodbye || Blainter 001
Hunter wasn’t a fan of days like today either. It hurt every time they had to go through it and he hated that he had to leave Blaine all on his own each time. They looked forward to each time they got to spend a few days together, and Hunter counted down the days whilst he was away. But it always seemed that their time together got ripped away too quickly and the hours went down too fast. Sleeping always got harder when it got closer to the day he had to leave so falling asleep had been hard last night. He didn’t want to sleep because it would bring that day he had to leave closer.
He woke up to feel a hand running through his hair and he smiled a little. He waited a little while before he turned over to face him, opening his eyes to look up at him. “Well, good morning handsome,” Hunter murmured, pressing his mouth to his and wrapping his arms around his waist. He was looking forward to their breakfast and spending a few more hours with Blaine. But it didn’t stop him feeling sad to know why they were saying goodbye.

Hard to say Goodbye || Blainter 001
Blaine always hated days like today, he’d known that as soon as Hunter had arrived home, their number of hours together was limited, but at the time that didn’t matter to him, because after all of the waiting his boyfriend was finally home. But now it was Hunter’s last day, and the hours were counting down quickly and Blaine didn’t know what to do with himself. How was he supposed to handle saying goodbye again? It wasn’t like it got any easier the more times they did this, in fact it made it even harder, because Blaine never knew if this was going to be the last time they saw each other and that was a thought that he simply couldn’t handle.
He rolled over onto his side, watching as Hunter slept beside him, sighing softly as he reached out and gently swept some hair from his boyfriend’s forehead, trying to take in as much of him as he possibly could. They wouldn’t see each other properly for a few months and he didn’t want to forget a single thing about the love of his life. They’d have to get up soon, he knew that, have their usual breakfast together, before packing up Hunter’s things and forcing themselves to say goodbye once more. It was a routine that they’d perfected by now, but it was still one that Blaine could do without.
