Via Flickr: Here is an old photograph of a young Japanese girl that was taken sometime during the 1940’s or 1950’s. I recently scored a large old photo album and a huge stack of other loose photographs that had belonged to a Japanese family. The family was meticulous with writing annotations to accompany each photograph affixed in the album but since I cannot read Japanese, I don’t know what is written. This was one of the loose photographs and did not have any writing on the back… This prize came at the end of a very hard fought bidding war…
