Thank you to everyone that helped us with our last goal! We were able to pay rent and utilities as well as our miscellaneous household bills!

Currently I’m set to start my new job on the 15th which is great news but unfortunately with this start date my first check will be on the 26th well past the due date for household bills, particularly the payment to our lease guarantor, and it will only be $439 leaving a very large gap in funds for rent and utilities due May 1st.

In addition to pay links we also have a fundraiser setup as well as a gift registry for a few day to day things needed around the house that would eat into funds raised otherwise!

people like really do need to get better at talking about why they love the things they love i think you genuinely cannot be a good Hater if you don't know how to articulate the joys things give you and you can't truly love anything if you don't know how to critique it, imo

I think the idea of the x-men having a unified vision of ideology on what mutants should do post-krakoa would be like really boring is the thing. people are really harping on Rogue's team representing a furthering of Xavier's core dream in light of "everything he's done" as if all 3 main teams in the line should have the exact same point of view? like is it not more interesting for a line of books about a large community of different kinds of people very explicitly being spread out in this era to offer different ideals and ways forward. like Kwannon is not on the team that is aiming for reaching Xavier's ideal because Kwannon is a different character from Rogue who experiences different circumstances and has her own belief system, Rogue is a character who has been sold on Xavier's dream and believes it because that is her circumstance as a character and it's a circumstance that other characters share and other characters do not share. idk I just think that like regardless of what we think about the in-universe ideologies being presented to us in the comics an ideology cannot exist without someone following it and so someone will always be following it in some capacity and it makes sense for a character like Rogue who has always wanted to belong to be leading that team promoting assimilation separate from characters like Kwannon or Emma Frost who experience different worldviews than they do from Rogue or that they do from each other.

which is to tldr say that stories should be about people who are not like us as much as they should be about people who Are like us.
