     the sight of blood made her shiver with equal parts dread & excitement. [ MONTHS, possibly, had passed since she last had the pleasure of TRULY harming anyone.] should she not listen to his wishes     most likely she would be NEXT. there was little to no chance of her surviving this encounter, not by her tiny self. luminita gave a nod, not for a moment lifting her gaze from the blossoming spill of blood on the floor. 

     ‘do you want some help cleaning up first?’ she WONDERED, hoping to catch a lovely glimpse of the woman who had supposedly stepped on his shoe & met her demise at his hands.

     they aren’t hiding anything, so neither should she, lumininta figures. she’s DONE FOR anyway should she FUCK UP anymore than she has. things like this, things which are not human        cannot be reasoned with. that’s what THEY SAY. the girl knows nothing about such matters & has very little knowledge to work with, though.

troye turned around with the intention of finding out if someone was following her or they were simply walking down the same hallway. her eyes landed on someone much shorter than her – a student and she smiled.

“oh hello, lum!” troye greeted, stopping in her place to let the younger girl catch up to her. “just back to my office for my lunch break. “aren’t you supposed to be in class, hun?”

     the child positively SWOONED at those sweet words. she imagined herself as a unicorn, rare & ever so special     troye was the human fascinated by her, running her hands through luminita’s mane. making her feel as if she were WORTH something. 

     ‘i’m taking a break from classes today, i’m going on a self appointed field trip.’

      she was NOT GIVING UP. the sheer force of this realization knocked the wind from the girl & she felt her breathing quicken, her stomach knot. she’d had her heart broken plenty of times throughout her life      by those close to her, mainly. lumi had given up on herself a long time ago. school seemed pointless, as did trying to do anything else BUT hang out by herself on playgrounds and smoke.   

     ‘okay, fine. i’m just fucking with you. you can sing to me again, i’ll pay more attention.’ her grin was LOPSIDED & playful. the thought crossed her mind once more: that if anna bothered her in the end, she would kill her. instead of calming lumi now, however, it made her feel like someone had caught her with her hands in the cookie jar. 

     ‘i scare little kids for fun, by the way. & sell drugs behind ihop but only thursday nights.’

     lumi’s face immediately SOURED at those words, as if they had personally offended her. she NEVER meant it but miss evers’ could hurt her like no one else, could insult her. it felt far worse than a slap in the face     than anything psychical     ever would. ‘they can make THEIR own cake.’

“I should’ve guessed,” He murmured. He could always tell skeptics almost right away. He wondered how she would react after the experiment was complete. Would she change her mind? Probably. He looked at the skull, and then at the girl. “I guess you’re one of those old souls. My brother’s like that.” He paused for a moment, “You got any dead relatives that you want to try and contact?”

     ‘hopefully you’re not talking about a dead brother.’ she smirked mischievously, perhaps even something a little more spiteful than that. at the best of times her mean streak was impossible to suppress. ‘i don’t have any family but it would be cool to talk to a serial killer, maybe. those are the most INTERESTING people.’

     ‘hmmm’. the moment was fleeting but blissful. such a gentle touch from another human was so LOVELY, made the world feel so VIBRANT     lumi couldn’t keep back a small hum of approval. when he pulled his hands away from her she felt her heart rip down the seam. 

     ‘thank you.’ she touched her fingers to the flowers in an attempt to recreate the sensation of someone else’s touch but it hardly had the same effect. ‘how do you make them?’
