If you want some idea of how much autistic people struggle to understand allistic people when they don’t say exactly what they mean, take a cooking recipe and replace all units of measure with “enough but not too much”. For example:

enough but not too much white sugar

enough but not too much butter

enough but not too many eggs

enough but not too much vanilla extract

enough but not too much flour

enough but not too much baking powder

enough but not too much milk

preheat oven to hot enough but not too hot

bake for long enough but not too long

Even someone who’s experienced with cooking would probably struggle to follow that recipe. Now imagine if they had no experience cooking and had no idea what these ingredients are.

Just a reminder that there are people who will love and accept you as your authentic self.

I know that it’s a big thing in TERF/radfem/GC talking points that “everyone is afraid to deny you” or that “they’re just humouring you”, but it’s just meant to make you cut yourself off. The point is to make you afraid to interact with anyone.

Most people who say they see you as your gender, really do. And it’s usually pretty easy to pick up when someone is just paying it lip service instead.

There are people in this world who will never accept us, but don’t ever let that blind you to the existence of those that do.

The constant rolling disaster that is Overwatch's game development aside, what really perplexes me about how Blizzard is handing the broader franchise is their continual insistence that a canon narrative exists in spite of their equally continual refusal to tell anyone what it is.

Like, okay, the events of the games aren't canon. Fair enough: the games are multiplayer-only, and you can't account for player actions.

Oh, and the animated short films aren't canon either – they're properly understood as in-universe propaganda, not depictions of actual events. That's a little high concept for you guys, but fine.

But surely the comics are canon, right? Well, no; some of the comics (we're not telling you which ones) were canon at one point, but the writing team has decided to go in a different direction.

My dudes, what is left? The weird Source Filmmaker porn? Is that canon? Well, apparently it's at least as canon as anything else!

Actually, I think forgiveness is important in relationships. Like no, you don’t owe forgiveness to your abusers or ppl who’ve harmed you, but if you’re not willing to forgive someone, you should not stay in relationship with that person.

Like if someone’s actions were so unforgivable then they were bad enough to end/distance the relationship. you cant have both. you cant keep the closeness of the relationship when your heart still closed. youre just using the other person at that point.

Fanfic idea: all villains who flirt with Batman every chance they get team up with Joker being their leader. Batman gets a report from Gotham police about a bombing attempt by the Joker but he's greeted by a whole fucking group of his foes who are not only dealing with bombs but also have “LOVE U BATS <3” written on the ground with blood.
