I've said this before and it's a hill I'll die on: Stop blaming ATYD for the "hyper-masculine casanova" characterisation of Remus Lupin.

In ATYD he's anything but a big, buff, aggressive popular kid. He's a loser, and that's quite literally the point. Not only that, but he's such a self-deprecating character that you can't trust a word from his perspective. Obviously his thought processes present him as a shitty person, it's because he thinks he's a shitty person. There are mountains of evidence that prove Remus is a good character (and INSANELY well written) in atyd, and I'll go into it more when it isn't 3 in the morning.

the album is brutally honest, satirical, a bit cringe here and there, depressing and experimental at the same time, I would not side eye anyone for saying "I don't understand this" or "this isn't my cup of tea" or even "what the fuck is this" because it's obviously not a 1989 or midnights kind of album for everyone. I understand why she said she "had to put this out" but while she is at the peak of her career, she released an album that is not for beginners nor really for overall critics, it's knees deep into the taylor swift lore and probably the most herself an album has ever been, that does not mean it is a masterpiece but it makes it so insanely special

I think one reason for all the fandom hate at TV!Sally Jackson is the Gentle Parenting movement. As more people (including me) support gentler and more patient parenting…this also coincides with people who think yelling at your child=instant red flag for abuse.

yeah i agree i mean i wasn’t raised with “gentle parents” i love my parents but they also disciplined me so seeing sally wasn’t anything new but a lot of people think when parents say no it’s abusive so like idek what they want anymore
