Experimenting with facial paint. She is painted with a set of glyphs inspired by a prehispanic plate. At the center between her eyes is the Center; from it grow the four world trees, to representing the four directions. At her jaw and linking the two sides is a stylized snake. You can more clearly see the image in the bowl posted here. The red line in the part of her hair is the path of the sun. #aztecwarrior

A ceremony in a town near El Oro in the State of Mexico that my Calpulli participated in, honoring the towns patron saint. Several of my Calpulli members are originally from El Oro, and are if Mazahua ancestry. It was a traditional Mazahua ceremony and event. #mazahua #estadodemexico #aztecdance
