pheobe stopping holden from running away out west ... she wanted to go with him. holden almost immediately changing his mind. he wants her to go back to school (he doesnt want her to be like him). when he starts walking to the zoo because he knows she'll follow, just like she would have followed him out west. telling her she's not too big to ride a carousel. pheobe putting his hunting hat back on him. holden watching her ride the carousel from his bench, sitting in the rain and feeling so happy he could cry just because his little sister isn't mad at him anymore and she's riding her favorite ride. she is such a little sister and he's such a big brother and I am near tears.
