“So you finally got facebook. Okay, well, who do you want to be friends with on facebook do you have any on there now?”
“Yeah I’m fine, just a little... they’re so loud today.”
“I was actually just asking you how this whole facebook thing works. I’ve got this smart phone and I have no idea how in the world to use it.”
“Are you feeling alright? I lost you there for a minute, kid.”

“I’m sure, I s’pose I could use a protection spell for my house. Will it will it help with the... spirits?”
“I’m just asking if I can give you a protection spell for your house. It’s something Castalia talked about and I’m helping her with it.”

It wasn’t her intent on staring at the woman in front of her for as long as she did, the voices of the dead were distracting her more than usual and at times Maria would stare off into space, trying to ignore them. That usually ended up with Maria looking like a weirdo, but it hardly bothered her. “Water might be cheaper, but it’s bland. Soda has more of a variety of taste, though. At least, that’s my opinion.”
“I’m afraid I haven’t drank a soda in a couple of years. I’m surprised you didn’t offer water instead. Seemed like the cheaper option to me.” Naya had just assumed the gaze was meant for her as the place wasn’t exactly filled to the brim with people.

“Tell me about it. But I didn’t want to be rude, so thought it’d be best to apologise.”
“No need to apologise, Maria. She was probably boring you to death, wasn’t she?”

“I’m not I wasn’t staring at you on purpose. And I’m not old enough to buy you a drink unless it’s a soda, so... sorry.”
“If you’re going to insist on staring at me like that, then you should at least buy me a drink first.”

“I’m sure you’re making a very valid point but I kind of stopped listening, like... a while ago. I’m sorry. Truly, my fault. So could you could you repeat that?”

[text]: Hey, kid. Where you been?
[text] Curled up at home. Not hiding, just not seeing. I’m okay though, why? Are you okay?

“It really is perfect. Especially love the sun. Sometimes a dip in the water sounds good if it’s too hot, but then again, not really a water person.”
“it’s relaxing. You sit out in the sun and read a book or something else of the sort. Sounds perfect to me.”

“I love to sit out and tan, I find it more easier to do.”
That’s a bummer. I’m usually more the type of person to tan out on the sidelines, but I thought ‘hey, why not.’

I’m not really a water kind of person, sorry.
“Oh come on, the water’s perfectly fine. Don’t be such a chicken.”

“Right, well...” Maria trailed off at a loss of words, because she didn’t know how to explain that she had said those words, but it wasn’t to her. Or, specifically, to anybody that had a beating heart. “... I wasn’t talking to you.” She finished off lamely with a grimace.
“No, you just scared me with your go away as I didn’t do anything.” Ericka raised her eyebrow as she looked at the brunette in front of her, confused by her reaction.

She wanted to argue with him but his words soothed her some and that lessened the buzz in her head, and was quite thankful that it had died down just a little. Maria sent him a small, grateful smile. “Feeling a little bit off is an understatement, but I guess you’re right. Without the coven and without my grandmother and Carter I’d have no one.”
“If you take one of the legs of a table no matter if it’s not like the rest, it will make it weak and eventually fall. You are a part of this coven and even if you feel a bit off, that doesn’t mean that we don’t need you with us” He smiled at her last answer “That’s all I ask”

At least let me try and help you.
Not like these. I don’t.. I don’t know. I don’t know if I can stand up.

They’re just flowers, Carter. There are like, a million more at home. Did you want to go for a walk... away from the flowers?
Maria… Have you seen these? Spectacular, aren’t they?

Carter, what are you doing?
This flower… I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s beautiful. Isn’t it… Isn’t it beautiful?

“I know, but I don’t want to bother them. They’ve done so much to help me even if it’s not nearly enough because the spirits keep coming back, I just feel like wouldn’t the coven be better off without me in it?” Maria sighed, pausing to listen to his next words and then nodding. “Yeah, I’ll... Do that. If it gets out of hand. Promise.”
“You need to talk to an elder witch, one that can help you control it. I don’t want them to keep you like this” He smiled at her “Promise me that if it gets out of hands you will go straight to Castalia and talk to her”

“You could say that. But it’s just the usual stuff, about school and such.”
“Well you were. Got something on your mind girlie?”
