anyways helmeppo nation what are we even doing how was I not able to find anything with him and enemies to lovers when he’s PEAK enemies to lovers. Actually wait no he’s not post canceled he’s never been anyone’s enemy besides his own. To others he’s a mild annoyance at best. At least for the people he’d be ending up lovers with. Even despite the atrocities.

Ok so this is going to sound RIDICULOUS but I don’t actually know of any Helmeppo fics that are actually enemies to lovers. Most just imply the enemies to lovers happened lol.

Anyways, on to the fics. Keep in mind going forward you’ll need to look through at tags to make sure these fics are actually something you want to read. Everything in pink is a link.

In This Post Here I have a ton of Coby/Helmeppo fic recommendations with summaries. Don’t like Cobymeppo? No problem! I’ve got more where that came from! (Though be aware in my personal fic series there can be some Cobymeppo in there, just check tags)

From my own personal collections, first up there is my Oops All Helmeppo series. It’s basically all my Helmeppo-centered fics that don’t really fit anywhere else. Highly recommend taking a look. Then I have my Helmeppo’s No Good, Very Bad Luck series which is most of my Helmeppo whump fics. And they are set in the same general universe so the order of the fics is the order in which the injuries are acquired and they sometimes get referenced later on! I have other series that could be worth looking at but those two I think cover most of the fics and you can browse further at your leisure.

This next one I’m involved in, but is actually spearheaded by the wonderful @ensignsenna - the Coby: Ace Attorney series! The focus character is Coby, sure, but after case 1 Helmeppo becomes a key player and will only continue to be more involved as it goes! You should still read the first case though. Don’t know Ace Attoeney? That’s ok! You don’t need to for this series!

The latest One Piece in the Ace Attorney-verse fic is complete! Lawyer Coby has to try to prove Nami didn't steal a pile of documents from Buggy. In trying to get to the bottom of things in court though, he also finds himself set up against someone even scarier than the Clown Prince

Hypothetically, if someone wrote a helmeppo-centric fic with some headcanon of his past, following him through his training up to just before Marineford... hypothetically, would it be ok to send it to you once it was done so other Helmeppo enjoyers could see it?

It will take a while, but I would like to share it eventually with my fellow Helmeppo enjoyers ❤️

I forget if I’ve ever asked you this but if Koby and Helmeppo were to get Devil fruits (they probably won’t but still) what do you think would suit them best?

Maybe the Glare-Glare Fruit for Koby since he really doesn't need much help in physical combat, plus it would send his perception abilities through the roof on top of his observation haki.

As for Helmeppo, it would be cool if his blades were infused with an Arctic Wolf or Direwolf model of the Dog Dog Fruit as a reference to the pet wolf he had back in Shells Town. Helmeppo is a much better person than he was back then, so his new pet wolf would also be an improvement. Also there's irony in this wolf being a blade when the original wolf was killed by Zoro.

#not his blades but i love imagining helmeppo with like. a hellhound devil fruit. it could be a cool mythical zoan #and Coby not having one as a switch on the whole ‘captain with a devil fruit and second in command without one’ dynamic #plus itd add a layer that has Helmeppo from being a brat with a scary guard dog to BEING the guard dog

Helmeppo, presumed dead, taken captive, beat to shit, escaped, just out of a knife fight he won but only technically, delirious: 👁️👄👁️

Zoro, who definitely is not lost at all, he just needs Sanji to come get him: 👁️👄

Like it doesn’t have to be Zoro but like imagine Helmeppo has had a not great time recently, on account of getting abducted, just barely managing to escape and as he’s trying to get out of dodge he bumps into Zoro and Zoro recognizes him this time and he’s not sure what’s going on but Helmeppo looks as rough as he’s feeling and Zoro doesn’t know what’s going on, but he doesn’t like whatever it is, so he helps Helmeppo.

Hours later Helmeppo wakes up in the medical bay on the Sunny with Luffy staring straight at him, and they’re gonna bring him back to Koby, and that will definitely be managed quickly and without hijinks (this is untrue, they probably get sidetracked several times, they’re not even looking specifically for Koby they’re just looking for a marine base to leave Helmeppo at. Helmeppo would like to go home.)

Side note:

Luffy is pretty sure Bogards Helmeppos dad. The rest of the strawhats accept this. No one brings up Ax Hand Morgan. They forgot about him. Helmeppo secretly wishes Bogard was his dad.

No no it absolutely should be Zoro that would be too funny. Also I love that idea cause honestly Helmeppo could have such a fun a fun dynamic with everyone on the crew, esp Sanji cause I feel like he would NOT like Helmeppo lmao. Fr Though I can see them not remembering Helmeppo and Morgan are related considering I doubt they remember Helmeppo at all most of the time.

I’ve been thinking about Helmeppo a lot lately and

What about trans meppo? Like I was thinking transfem and like, no way was Ax Hand Morgan ever gonna let that happen so Helmeppo just never told anyone or didn’t realize till later and then wasn’t sure what to say and just lives without telling anyone for a minute and it comes up either incredibly casually and Koby almost misses what Meppos trying to say or Helmeppo is crying and panicking in case of the worst, and Kobys chill about it but mostly worried Helmeppos so upset

I do actually think about trans Meppo a good bit, though I usually go for transmasc Meppo 😅 I presume it would depend on the version but I doubt Morgan would really care one way or another if Helmeppo is trans or not though. I doubt he pays enough attention to even notice….
