Last week we have started our new project on making a skirt for pattern cutting of our own design that we designed before lockdown

This half term I have start an upcycling project that the college set me.

I cut a pair of trousers and made them into shorts.

I also started my plan for my final 6 designs for art and design

I also started my fashion calendar and finished my research on 4 illustrates

And finished my footwear improvements on my PowerPoint

I also helped my family do some work at home and relaxed too

This week so far we have made our own plan of what it looked like and what it sells

Mine is inspired by the curves and bright colours of Mexico

It also has a donation point so the public can donate the garments to my business and the money that is raced is given to cancer research. The garment that are donated are remade into something else that are garments such as dresses, skirts and shoes.

I have also finished our footwear illustrations.

Then we had another project that is linked to project Launch it was called "Outside the box". It's about making your own shoe box for our shoes inspired by our own theme which mine is called Mexico. W had to also think about how they are put in the store .We had to draw 4 to 6 ideas that relates to my theme. I draw 5 ideas and then all I have to choose 1 and make it all professional and I might make it at home

Last week we thought about our own brand, shop and design of the shop

My Business that we are making for the Project Launch is called

Festival of the dead or something around that

It is about festival of the dead the Mexican festival

This week we thought about the band name for our pop up store and what culture it is inspired by.

My pop up store is inspired by the festival of the dead which is a Mexican festival

It will have Mexican festival inspired dresses and accessories in it

Last week we started a new project called launch. It is to make your own pop up store inspired by a culture and to make it about fashion such as:

What i did last week

Last week on Christmas eve I sat and watched Christmas films

Then Christmas day we watched Christmas films, opened Christmas presents, had Christmas Dinner and watched some more films

On boxing day did some more work and handed in some more work

What i have been doing

The week before Christmas i was handing in some work on moodle for textiles footwear and art and design

This week I had a photo shoot of my garment

This week I have been doing so far in:

Pattern cutting is I have made a tye top and I have put some flat flowers on it just need to sew on the 3D flowers and the bows.

Footwear is I have made another shoe design using inks and water colours.

I made my creative mood board at home as didn't have any time in class to finish or even start it. We started to research illustrators and say what media they used and how they made the painting such as : what tools they made it with such as: thick or thin paint brush what methods they used as well.

In our other lesson we finished our research in graffiti wars and started a presentation about what inspires graffiti and fashion

Then in textiles we were doing felt making

A week ago I wasn't in college for the last 2 weeks as was sick so I am slowly catching up with my course work and in that 2 weeks I have missed a lot and I am planning to catch up in the Christmas break.

In pattern cutting I finished off my skirt and started to make a pocket and finished too.

In footwear, I carrying on with designing footwear inspired by mexico.

Then in art and design we did outfit building and did some designs on that.

Then we carried on with the research about graffiti wars.

And textiles we did some more samples

Then we started a lesson about CAD which is a on line digital art / fashion processors

Then the next week I was starting to get to the end of making my tailored skirt but unfortunately, time ran out. Then we were carrying on designing our footwear designs. Then we were carrying on with research on Graffiti wars. Then in textiles we started another sample

The next week we carried on with making our tailored. Then we also continued designing in footwear design. The we carried on designing out fits and then we were thinking about our creative mood board that is linked to our theme with mine is Mexican. We carried on with the graffiti wars research. Then we put it into a vlog

A few weeks ago I made a tailored skirt in pattern cutting. Then in foot wear I started to draw shoe designs inspired by Mexican fashion. Then in art and design I draw and designed cloths inspired by Mexico. In our other lesson we were continuing our work on graffiti wars and in textiles we were making samples. And I love it all it's the best
