Daily reminder that filler episodes specifically refer to the phenomenon in anime when an anime catches up to its ongoing manga and has to just make shit up and waste time until the manga has time to release enough new chapters for the anime to continue following the story. It's shit like "the cast is going on a completely random and kinda ooc quest to find some dragons or something and it will literally never be relevant to the story or mentioned ever again."
Characters doing stuff and hanging out in episodes that aren't part of the main plot isn't filler, that's just character and relationship development. A cartoon character having a day at the fair with their best friends and getting more of their personality fleshed out in a way it can't be in alien battles is not the same as anime writers just wasting time between manga releases.
calling it now: when cpc gets mainstream, there'll be the conan gray heather animatic for isolde, the two birds animatic, the campfire song animatic for the club, and a "who broke it?" animatic
Hunter threatened Luz's life at least three times but he never actually did anything. Luz, meanwhile, took some goddamn initiative and tried to kill Hunter on sight.
Leland: Ugh, yeah, so my best friend really thought that he could just. Decide to get married to some rando island chick??? Did our YEARS of FRIENDSHIP mean nothing to him?? LITERALLY so unfair. What, does he expect me to just get over it?! Anyway I want this llama to replace him
It made me feel emotional but not in a sad teary way it's in a way I cannot explain. This scene is romantic, wholesome, just really good.
The entirety of this scene (including the scene before this) is pretty special to me because of how much I can relate on some part at least. It's just so good and that last line hit me the most.
"...and helped me see that maybe things weren't as dire as my perspective made them look."
As a person who struggles with time (Sometimes being to fast or too slow, just not getting the system in general), getting through everything and just wanting to take control back, this line comforts me in some way. It's like this line is saying to me "You don't have to always run, it's okay to take one step at a time".
Also as someone who used to be the gifted kid and then starting lose control (failing, losing, etc), Blaine is a character that I have some sort of special bond with (beside Frederick. Is it weird to say that I relate to both Blaine and Frederick? Since they are the exact opposite).
Anyway all I want to say is:
This scene and Blaine is special to me
(Heck, maybe I should make a Blaine appreciation post or something)
(I know what he did in the last episode was horrible, I agree that he did a terrible thing. But I want to focus on his good sides right now)
