Wooden stick, cut frame, black triangle, red disk, all this begins to make an alphabet with which sentences are constructed. Hopefully one day I won't ramble too much...

For once in this one, nothing overflows from the format except the pictorial material which does not overflow to the sides but towards us, in thickness.
I liked this idea of the brush mark, the trace of paint that could fold like paper...

It seems simple like that at first glance but what a hassle to make this drape as the idea that I had in my head. Imagine the fabric soaked in glue held with pins to create tension with folds...
Looking at the result, I couldn't help but think that this would make an excellent commercial for condoms.

Here are two small collages linked by close ties because one comes from the other and vice versa. And if one day I part with them, I would like them not to, that they would be like Siamese twins. Please don't do the surgery!

There is a famous photo of Picasso drawing in space with a light in his hand. Far be it from me to compare myself to the great man, but I have the impression that it remains a fantasy for many artists: drawing off-camera.

The thick pictorial material is paint that can be catch by the eyes, that can be touched with the fingertips, it's like painting in Braille for the blind. Sometimes, out of nostalgia, I'll add another layer.

This is the first time I put a wooden stick that separates the two offset parts of the frame. To distinguish it better, I varnished it darker. I must admit, I redid it several times and you will see it in the next posts.

Tame materials by giving them a framework and making them play with other forms which structure them, giving them meaning to their material life.

There is something like little dust that formed during this work, clumps of material that overflowed from the tooth scraper. I didn't want to take them off, afraid of doing worse rather than better. It looks like small erasures of writing and it hangs the eye, fortunately without doing any harm.

I know well that we call it abstract art and yet the two statures present in this work strongly resemble protagonists. On the left one pushes upwards, on the right the other prevents the trap from closing. It turns out that you just need to have the impression that a shape is moving for it to come to life. This is probably why death seems so abstract to us.
