What are you most excited to learn from Black Hat’s Guide to Villainy?

I am the most curious to read if he has rules for how villains should run their families. I know the organization is like a cult and that kind of detail would confirm that and shed light on what living in it is like. And the lore, of course.

Yeah I'm looking forward to the lore and things about him, maybe he gives examples of things he has done to back up some of the rules. We've seen plenty of the rules in the orientation vids already

I'm little late to the party but I am so happy we got to hear The Hat Man song yet again! :3 I really like that song and so hoping to actually see the origin of it! Especially since it seems to be an interesting topic. Like, we only know that the band that made it become fameus over night. That makes me think that BH actually liked them xD We can say it's because the song praises him, but at the same time, Flug and Dem also praise him and they get beaten down. Could it be because the band sincerely saw him as someone great, expirienced and legendary, and well... our two folks are trying to suck up to him when they can? There is so much lore and BH personality hidden behind that song I NEED TO KNOW MORE

Alan explained this in a livestream, but that song's composed by a band in the 40s and Black Hat made them famous in exchange for their souls. It's a reference to a real life event too, iirc a band also got super famous very quick and it was rumored they made a deal with the devil

Is there even a point to getting mad at live action adaptations anymore?

I mean... what do you expect by this point? Even if they generally pay respect to the original, it's gonna feel like a cheap imitation unless they are REALLY good at matching things.

If they adapt the ideas but generally march to the beat of their own drum, many will take it an insult to the original or willfully missing the point.

Animation isn't live action. Live action isn't animation.

And these projects aren't going away at all. Sure, YOU might boycott. We could organize a massive boycott with plenty of people... but not enough.

For one thing, these new adaptation's command our attention. How will this new version botch our favor scene? The trailer looks nice actually. Maybe it'll be good actually?

For another, many YouTubers or big name bloggers WILL inevitably review the remake. They are monetarily obligated to do so. Even if it's bad, people want their dread either denied or reaffirmed. Thus this means that a lot of people will indeed check out the thing.

Pirate all you want but that attention will have a run-off effect on those not verse in sailing the digital seven seas. Thus keeping this neverending cycle neverending.

After realizing I can't make a character blog for all the Oc's I created, I from now on am going to have singular blog for whatever new fandom I get interested or want to have for their own focus. I feel a general blog would allow me to be even more creative than I have before and not get cluttered with too much blogs.

Personality: On the surface he seems to be an upstanding hero who is loved by his community and other heroes, but underneath he's really a dick who secretly treats others badly if he can get away with it. He really is a terrible mentor to his sidekick who he treats no better than a servant who he can order around. He constantly treats her superpower as if it's a joke and verbally berates her about it. He also makes emotional manipulative comments that no one would ever want her due to her powers being so lame, so she has no choice but to put up with him. And despite saying her powers are lame, he still makes her train harshly so she could be made more useful at the detriment of her health at times. He also makes her do dangerous task without any regards to her wellbeing and safety. He's also a bit of a womanizer and loves the chance to get into women's pants like Detacha's mother. 

Background: The protector and patron hero of his homecity, he is looked up by citizens and the local community. He is also the mentor of the trainee, Detacha, who is one of many heroes in training. However, despite how his persona is in the public eye he really has an unpleasant side that he hides and shows regularly to his sidekick. He abuses her mentally, physically, and emotionally to the point she is very strained at times. It isn't helped her mother pushes her to continue under him and even sleeps with him to keep her as his sidekick.

* Despite not thinking much of her powers and everything, he does take advantage of the fact she's a lesbian and does virtue signaling posts saying how supportive he is as a mentor. 

* He was actually friendly with Clone Commander when he was still a hero. 

* He is very much into social media and has a big presence. 

* He will also get a hit on him by Black Hat Organization. 

* He does a lot of support for fighting drunk driving and domestic abuse, while ironically abusing his own sidekick and sleeping with someone with issues with alcohol and is an alcoholic himself. 

* He's obsessed with wanting to be in the Golden Rule and will do whatever it takes to get noticed as a worthy candidate to join.

yes rule number one of worldbuilding is to make the moon fucked up. but rule number two is to put a race of anthropomorphic rabbit girls on said moon and make them also be fucked up
