Thinking about Minette's songstress verse and how she was probably kept isolated by her family aside from her performances, especially with the rampant disappearance cases. She absolutely grew up with a stronger taste for theatrics too in comparison to her default verses and will sneak out under her families noses to watch other performers whenever she can. Still loves and nerds out over bugs much to her families distaste, but they humor her by allowing her full charge of her own little greenhouse which she keeps many, many insects and plants in.

Feet firmly back upon the ground , Minette gives her clothes a hasty straightening out before re-fixing her attention on the man. Minette's fluffy pink mop cants to one side curiously . . The Fortress of Meropide ? OH ! Ears perk (as much as they can,) tail sways, and a pleased smile takes hold of her lips.

" It is ? Oh good ! I had thought I may be lost for a moment . . You wouldn't happen to know how to get in would you ? "

slowly , he placed the much smaller woman down , her bright palette had him mistaken her for someone else , someone who definitely should NOT be snooping around the entrance to Meropide behind the Opera Epiclese . he stood tall over her , his hands on his belt line , offering up an apologetic smile .

" I do apologize , I seem to have mistaken you for someone else . You should be more careful though , this is the entrance to the Fortress of Meropide . "

It's his words that bring her to realize just how stern and stiff her face feels . . Guilt twists in her gut at the thought. She must've looked really . . Mean right now. Her ears droop in response to the turmoil settling in ; It wasn't like Basileus had a track record of good intentions nor of kindness for that matter - She reminds herself , it's only natural she'd be a bit wary of him . . But everyone deserves a second chance.

Inhaling softly (yet deeply) Minette takes on an apologetic smile , " You're right , I'm sorry Mr. Basil. If you really don't mind showing me around , I would greatly appreciate it. "

Something about the fact that Signe immediately placed the clip on her person brings an ecstatic , excitable glimmer to Minette's gaze. It seemed to fit right in with the rest of her attire , just as Minette had hoped.

" - ! Of course , I'm glad you like it ! " The ears atop her head perk as much as they are able , face lighting with a slightly flushed smile , " If you're certain you don't mind , I'd love to ! I - I can . . Make coffee if you'd like ! " She was certain they had the supplies to do so somewhere around headquarters.

Signe looks up from her studies, gingerly receiving the gift. While she was rarely one to open gifts in front of others, in this case, the curiosity was simply too much to bear.

The clip itself is beautiful, indeed reminiscent of the crystalflies that often circled the sakura tree at the Narukami shrine. Her smile is grateful, genuine, and she immediately removes her hat to fasten the clip onto the silvery blue ribbon that held her Vision.

"It's beautiful, Minette, thank you," she smiles, adjusting her hat on her head once more. "You know, I suppose I could take a small break just this once. Would you like to have some tea? I'm more of a coffee person, myself, but I wouldn't mind some company while I get these last few reports done."

Doomed. She's doomed. Even if she wasn't so afraid of water , the fact that she still couldn't control the electric discharge from her vision and body meant that one ZAP was all it would take to fry everything in the water , including herself. Was this really where her journeying was going to come to an end ? Well , that wasn't so bad , she had gotten much farther than she'd thought she ever would from Mondstadt . .

She's been eyeing Signe from her current hiding place behind a nearby bookshelf for a few minutes now , hesitant despite having gift in hand already. Willing her feet forwards , Minette stumbles up to Signe's desk - Smile gentle yet nervous as she holds out a small, purple, ribbon wrapped box for the other to take. " H - Happy birthday , Ms. Grimhilt ! I've made something for you - " The box contains a clip of sorts , it's design reminiscent of a purple crystalfly.

" It can go in your hair , or on your hat, or your clothes ! Or it could even be used as a bookmark, a - anything you want, really . . " She lists these off as her fingers begin to fidget.

Sniffs. It’s her birthday.
