The Sequence from Jorge R. Canedo E. on Vimeo.
I’ve always wanted to do something with School Of Motion, and when I heard the one and only Sander van Dijk was doing an “Advanced Motion Methods” course with them I knew it was going to be something special. So it was really something when they reached out asking to do an intro for “The Sequence” that happens inside the course.
We needed to keep it in the same brand as the INCREDIBLE intro made by Gunner (vimeo.com/296039324) so the bar was very high, so I teamed up with Yuki Yamada who designed some frames and then I put it into motion, then Ambrose Yu did his music magic.
Made for School of Motion’s “Advanced Motion Methods” class by Sander van Dijk:

The Making Of Mamoon from Blue Zoo on Vimeo.
As part of our boundary-pushing animated shorts programme, director Ben Steer took a truly unique approach to produce the film, projecting animated characters onto 3D sets crafted from polystyrene blocks. Normal post-production has been completely bypassed; there’s no rendering, no CG precision, and imperfections with the lighting give the characters a ghostly quality, reminiscent of shadow puppets. This short film documents the process of how the film was made.

Giant Bear Teaser June 2018 from e→d films on Vimeo.
A first look at the Giant Bear. Centered on a confrontation between the last monster bear and an Inuit hunter, Giant Bear is a chilling short that brings an ancient story out of the North. In Giant Bear, we follow a hunter in the depths of starvation. The snow is thick, his dogs are mysteriously dying and food is nowhere to be found. A quest for answers leads him straight to a nanurluk, an iceberg-sized polar bear, setting up a “kill or be killed” battle that pits one man’s wits against a fearsome foe. Directed by: Neil Christopher and Daniel Gies, Animation Director: Eric Max Kaplin, Co-produced by: Taqqut Productions and e.d. films. Teaser Music: Beatrice Deer Band

Google I/O Conference Countdown (2018) from Nicolas Ménard on Vimeo.
A countdown for three screens commissioned by Google. It kicked off their 2018 Google I/O Developer Conference, which took place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View.
On the center screen is a playful series of transitions between numbers from the Google Sans typeface, drawn frame by frame in Adobe Animate. On the side screens, a system of 60 patterns (5 families of 12 patterns each) were edited to highlight the rhythm of the drums.
The soundtrack was composed and performed by Tom Haines of Brains & Hunch. It features all sorts of percussions, including Chinese toms toms, Chinese cymbals, gongs, African log drums, skulls, cowbells, a variety of mallets and a 6 foot tall taiko drum.
