"yes there is one."he responded , one hand in front of him as he now spoke. "its straight down here and you will see it on the right. it's between the cotton candy stall and the homemade fudge stall." two stalls he had already hit earlier in the evening. he did have a very sweet tooth. now , the sound of a cinnamon and chocolate roll was appealing. he was sure that he , himself had already checked out all of the food stalls. "chocolate and cinnamon rolls sound like haven. where did you find them." eyes peering around.
Of all the people Emmeline had expected to run into at the Forks Festival , certainly the Chief of Police Charlie Swan was not one of them .
Along the street there were small parades that had different activities , such as face painting for children ; homemade products like cinnamon rolls , chocolate , tree ornaments , jam of different flavours . . .
❝ Is there a stand nearby that provides those beverages ? ❞ A gentle smile found its way on her lips , suddenly eager to get herself the drink that the middle-aged man had suggested . ❝ You have to try in exchange chocolate cinnamon rolls . They are delicious . ❞

"is anyone a actually a fan of hearing O'holy night on repeat?" he snorted. it was TORTURE , the once was enough but it seemed like these tone death singers didn't get it. he was glad there seemed to be someone else in the similar mind as him it seemed like everyone here as trying to pretend that it was amazing and oh , the festivities are amazing. eyes watched her as lincoln heard her remark. "nah , i don't think a wish would work. "think we'd need a miracle like lightening smiting them. i can see them continuing to sing even with mono."
they had to agree with the sheer obviousness that the carol singers were merely an annoyance more than they were the holiday cheer someone intended them to be. especially when they were singing loudly and off pitch enough that her safe haven she made on the bench was getting interrupted. the hybrid closed the book laying on their lap promptly and snorted. “why, not a fan of hearing o holy night on repeat?” she sure wasn't. “don't count on it ---- look at them. they're too jolly. they'll probably assume your $10 means sing another.” more sarcasm followed by ( you guessed it ) more sarcasm. “----- all else fails, you can burn a wish they catch mono.”

"rach , rach , oh rach." a pause for a moment as she looked at her. while others would look and see them as not really twins , their brains were almost in sync with eachother. similar taste and clearly in syncthe majority of the time. "you know that promotion is good for the customers but there's a better way than that."a brief pause for the moment , almost beckoning her sister to come closer. "you get the customer to buy you said drinks. tell them they'll be on the NICE list for chistmas and you don't have to spend a dime. especially if they've already had a few and they want to seem like they have a nice heart to the perso they've taken out with them. you should try it , cause man that money saved is more money i can spend on shoes."
rachel snorted, knowing beforehand that her question would only lead to answers she already knew. it’s to be said that this was another thing the two had in common : at least, when it came down to the core of the holiday. buying gifts, receiving them, that was always fun. but shake a santa hat in her direction, and the black was gone like the wind. “ not even for the discounted alcohol? ” raised brow questioned. “ heard there’s a promotion going on, for an hour every day until christmas. ”

different , yes she knew this was different. the whole world was DIFFERENT. vampires and shapeshifters walked across these streets and yet no one else really knew about it unless you were in the inner circle , either being one of them or she guessed , like herself. "i KNOW what you're saying but i do highly doubt i am going to be murdered in the middle of the square while we are making our wishes." now that would be stupid , although she guessed she didn't really know anything about vampires really , unless you recall watching the dracula films as education. emily settled into the jacket that seth gave her and nodded. it did sound better having a hot chocolate afterwards. "so , my sweet seth , is there anything i need to know about. i haven't really spoken to you in the last few weeks and i need the gossip."
emily was tough. always had been. seth had seen first hand just how the young did not go down easily. but things were different now, and no matter how tough, a human was no match for a vampire. the cullens weren’t threats to them, but the passerbys [ … ] a bad feeling settled in the pit of his stomach at the thought. “ you know we’re not saying you’re weak, em. we’d be the firsts in your corner if hell was to break loose. this, this is different though. ” imprints were protected by the old laws, sure, but that was their law. for now, it paid to be cautious. “ the thought of you and leah in the same room is terrifying enough. ” seth huffed, shrugging his jacket off to snuggle it over emily’s shoulders. he didn’t need it, and it was cold enough that he was worried she’d catch a cold. “ let’s do after. it’ll be a fun little treat. ”

"i wouldn't offer if i didn't mean it." alara spoke softly as she took her camera off her and gave it to the other. "how long are you here for? i can always get your favourite pictures printed for you. a keepsake for coming here." and she would do so. it never bothered her printing off photos of anything she has taken and giving them to people. if it meant that they were happy then that was what mattered. "molby dick is a good book , so i can see why you got stuck in the bookshop reading it." she responded. nothing really bet the classics stories. the books now always seemed to have the same storyline as everyother book. the classics now they varied so wildly you never knew what you would get.
note the glimmer of interest in their eyes when they’re offered the opportunity to see the event through lenses. “ would you let me trouble you, then? i fear i won’t be able to see it next year, since i’m only passing through, and i’d love to catch even a glimpse of the activity. ” head tilted, letting dark strands falling to the side. “ that’s [ … ] i’m an avid collector of old titles. i didn’t think i’d find so many on their shelves, and when i settled in a corner to read moby dick, the next thing i knew the sun had set. ”

it was a family tradition to go to the festival , one that leyla would continue for the rest of her life. it did feel for her that this year was going to be DIFFICULT. highten sense was something she was still getting use to , noises seemed like they had dialed up to a ten. she had only been bitten 4 months prior , everything was so different now and it wasn't like there was a google or a GUIDE FOR DUMMIES that she could buy. she was caught in her own thoughts before she brushed against the other person. "oh crap."she muttered , eyes resting on the other. "didn't mean to .. was distracted by the smell of the corndogs."

@undyvng for whoever you want.
he was only there as it was an unspoken rule that the whole of the pack had to attend. lincoln would rather be at home , playing video games and eating potato chips. socialising really wasn't his thing. he'd prefer to stay in his own company or playing games with his gamer friends. DEATH , now that sounded more apealing than watching this show of awkwardness. people singing who really shouldn't be singing at all. bum perched ontop of the pinic bench he was sitting in , taking a sip of the beer he had in hand. "do you think if i gave $10 to the carol singers , they'll shut up and move along."

it was glad to hear the other girls opinion and if she had been burning it for days on end , it must be good. most shop brought candles were awful and emily felt that she always had to blow them out after a couple of hours due to how strong or odourious the scent was. "thanks , i'll defiantly get the candy cane one. i mean , when i think of christmas it's always candy canes and gingerbread." gingerbead , oh how had she forgotten about that sweet scent. "you must like the candy cane scent then , i may myself have to pick up a couple then. don't want to get to christmas eve and have no christmas scent in the house. that would be such a crime."
jessica loved the annual christmas festival. her mom always took her as a kid and it became their yearly tradition to go see what knock-knacks they could buy. the femme had stopped at one of the many candle vendors where a femme was looking at a few , taking whiffs of two or three. ' oh most definitely candy cane. i've had that burning for days now in my apartment and it smells so much like the real thing. ' jess said happily , grabbing the same one to have another.

"look , look."a brief pause for a moment as she looked at chepi. rebecca did really dispise this season. especially with the town celebration. rebecca was questioning herself as to why she chose to come back this time of year. if she HAD only waited a few more weeks then this grueling thing would be over. there was no point being stuck on the mistake she had made. "i'll go for one candy cane and then i want to be out of this."hand waving in the general area of the festivities. "because this is torture."

it was funny to watch seth like this and she could almost let a laugh out of her lips and then an eyeroll followed. "seth , everyone is family in la push." they were pretty much taught that everyone of them were family to eachother. god , she hated that bullshit. "and as much as i would love to see quil suffer , it doesn't pay for my bills. i mean i WISH it would because i'm sure i would be set for life."
[ … ] he’s like a kicked puppy, a low echoed whine brought fourth. “ come on, beck. ” head falling onto knuckles laid flat on the bar, hoping to look as pathetic as possible. “ we’re practically family. i’m really trying to kick his ego down a notch. don’t you think seeing his big head lose is payment enough? i’m also really trying to get christmas money for leah. i’ve been good! ”

"i think they should add a bauble craft area." she spoke out loud. they had the wish burning, stalls, cakes, hell they even had an event to decroate the tree. it would make sense to do something creative. "it would make it more special when you could add a personalised bauble to the town's tree." it made so much sense to emily. "or maybe a wreath class , get everyone together in making your own wreath. that would be fun." well , fun in her opinion.

a groan escaped rebecca's lips as she heard what her friend said. that was the last thing she needed bmoing into ever so smiley swan and her father that well , she hadn't really seen since she came back to town. avoiding people , that should be something on her cv. "fine , we will stay 3 minutes, i will time it as well." a small laugh escaped her lips , hinted with seriousness on it. "but we should avoid the raffle , it's where the riff raff goes."
the proposal of skipping straight to the bar definitely sounded appealing to him since they would end up there anyways, but he knew they should show their faces first, especially after coming this deep into forks and having loved ones around volunteering. “yeah, and are you hearing billy later? you know him and chief swan are probably all over this.” sam joked, deep eyes surveying the sea of people the festival brought out. the bright sparkling lights, holiday cheer and deafening conversations --- he turned to glance down at rebecca by his side with a sudden change of heart. “a couple minutes then we do your bar idea.”

"good because i wouldn't want to have words with your dad and mom." charlie spoke with a lightly chuckle. he did enjoy spending time with the clearwaters' and blacks'and seeing their children grow up. it did give him a purpose in those years and stopped him becoming too much of a workaholic. "it'll be a whole stripe for me."charlie commented. he didn't want to overstop the mark by buying bella some without her permission. their relationship was still growing and he didn't want to seem overbearing especially as she wasn't a baby anymore. gosh that made him feel old thinking about it.
the side of his lips were swiped with the back of his hand, wiping the drool before seth beamed at charlie. an uncle figure, prominent in their father’s life, pictures of the trio littered their living room. seth felt like he’d grown up seeing charlie at least once a week, for their fishing trip, or just to pop by. “ wouldn’t dream of it, charlie. ” trouble never seemed to find him, unless it was walking on two legs and no longer had a heartbeat. “ are you here to buy tickets for you and bella? ”

"i wouldn't call it a bribe really.." okay , it had been but emily was glad to know that she didn't need to try and bribe him to do things with her. "and sam wouldn't harm you , i'm not a damsel , i don't need protection." well , that's how emily saw it. she had been in tougher situations than going to the wish burning. the only drama that could happen there is the grass gets caught on fire. "and if sam did harm you , well , he would be dealing with myself and leah." this whole sam thing , it was a situation she never saw herself in. stories they were told as children were true and inthe end it was and still would be a lot for both emily and sam to take in. "did you want to get the hot chocolate first or after the wish event."
“ wait, wait, i thought i was already your favorite. ” the muffin’s trajectory halted when it touched his lip, doe eyes unmoving from emily’s own now, cheeks full. it’s a miracle they hadn’t choked, with the speed they swallowed then proceeded to scarf the rest down. “ you don’t have to bribe me to go with you, that’s a given. pretty sure sam would shave the fur off of my back if i let you go alone. plus, it kind of sounds fun. ”

alara nodded her head in agreement. yes , the little ice skates did create little spotlights for the other ornaments around it. there was just magical about this time of year , it seemed to brighten the dark gloomy nights. "yes , i did attend and i got some nice shots of it too. i can always show them if yo wanted to see the action that took place." a warm smile graced her lips. "may i ask what got yo so interested in the book shop?"
lita let out a hum of acknowledgement, sitting now with knees diagonal, as to have a good view of the tree and the company. “ they look like miniature spotlights [ … ] really brings everything together. ” a girlish excitement in the little things, that isn’t extinguished with the thought of having witnessed thousands of christmas days. every year was a little different, traveling everywhere the eye could reach. each celebrating family had a unique take on the holiday, and lita took to splurging on her loved ones. “ regretably, no. i’d just missed it, the local book shop stole my attention and time just flew by. but it does sound like everyone had fun. did you hang any ornaments? ”

hmm , rachel did have point. most of the people did become assholes after a few drinks. seemed like it was character trait for people of forks. but hey , once they were drunk enough you could ask for tips and they were none the wiser , splashing the cash and showing off. "oh you know me rach." a pause for a moment. "of course i will not be taken part in any of this. i will only partake in the sales at the end of december. aything FESTIVE willl be left alone." was she the grinch in human form , yes , rebecca was.
there’s an absurd sense of dread in the knowledge that, the place that had once been home, felt more like a prison now. the good memories were buried under the bad, feeling unfamiliar. rachel had left as quickly as rebecca: the twins characteristically in sync. “ might tip big [ … ] but they definitely act like the biggest assholes. ” she shrugged, and she was glad that she at least wasn’t the one waiting tables. dress their best, act their worst. “ are you going to participate in any of the festivities? ”

"i wouldn't say i'm a quiz master.."leyla spoke as she turned to look at the other. "but this quiz isn't that hard."she added. growing up in forks , she knew that the quiz was pretty much the same questions and answers each year apart from the current news. "if you need a team mate , i can pitch in." although she was a little wary , especially as the other smelt different to the others around her.

" how good are you at trivia, hm? am i looking at a quiz master right now? " rory questioned with a grin and wiggle of her brows. she was already cradling an untouched drink but it was pretty safe to say she was bored. aurora had come to this town in a pathetic attempt at finding something fun to do. clearly she had chosen the worst possible town, huh? or so she thought. " this whole festival thing is a bit... odd. i'm not used to all this shit... this sorta thing happen often? "
