Chaos followed afterwards, so Ma Miles hasn't been prioritized for a while now 😔💔 Chapter 22 is almost ready though, so soon! 😄👏

I'm so, so late to responding to asks, but your kind message really means so much to me, you have no idea 🥹 The aftermath of having to say goodbye to Oliver has been so difficult. And with all the other crap that has followed, it's been a really shitty year thus far 😮‍💨

Don't worry about not having started Ma Miles, or not reading it at all, for that matter 😅 It.. uh... it kind of grew way out of proportion lol My idea was maybe a 10-15k story, but one I got the first few chapters out, it just ran away with from me, making itself into the monster it is today lol Chapter 22 is right around the corner though, I hope. Things are calming down a bit and I can finally find some time to sit down and write again 😊

Ugh, don't even talk to me about the writers spurts lol I did 12k in one sitting once and it completely broke me for a week 😩👌 Still though, that experience was a pretty potent mix 🤭 I'm lucky enough to comfortably do 5-6k in a sitting, but as of late, I barely have time to sleep, it seems lol

Their shadows follow you even long after they're gone. I'm blessed and privileged enough to have other pets to take comfort in, but it's still hard...

Ma Miles, unfortunately, hasn't been a priority for a bit. Life took a hard left turn and I'm still fighting to get it back on track again. Ma Miles is still being written though, so don't worry! Chapter 22 is almost finished, but as Irl is unpredictable atm, I don't dare fix a date for the release 😅 Just know that it is coming, currently resting at a comfortable 10k as with most of the later chapters have lol

My life has been a real challenge as of late (I went more into why on previous asks before this one) but I'm doing better every day. I have lovely pets that I absolutely adore and I'm lucky enough to have their love. So even though I'm not quite there yet, I will be soon enough. We're entering fall here in Norway soon, which is an absolutely gorgeous season to experience. The fresh, cool, earthy air really does wonders - and then to come inside as the world around you turns to black, the fireplace crackling, a woolen blanket and some hot tea... Yeah, I'll be alright soon enough 😊😁

How's life treating you?

Life went from manageably chaotic to a steep descent into pure chaos. After moving to a new country back in November, my previous job started causing problems. Then we had to say goodbye to our dog which hot harder than we thought it would, as we agreed and understood that he'd had a long and happy life. The emptiness without him shadowing us was one we weren't completely prepared for though... Then the previous work caused even more troubles, forcing us to move back again so that we could slap them with the big old doomsday of legal actions. As if all of this wasn't enough, our now oldest dog has bad hip dysplasia which he underwent surgery for last May, removing his right hip. Well... No more than two weeks back in the country, the left hip started acting up and he was rushed in for surgery to remove the left hip too. The surgery went very well and he's doing absolutely beautifully! 🥰 We're so proud of him! 👏 But beside the court stuff and his daily rehabilitation, and vet visits, there hasn't been much time to just sit down and have fun with writing.

The shadow of Ma Miles constantly hangs over me, but I've had to prioritize what's important IRL for now. Chapter 22 is almost ready though, but I don't dare jinx anything by predicting a release date for the chapter.

I'm really so sorry that Ma Miles suddenly hit a lengthy hiatus though. These past ten months has been absolutely wild and I'm so ready for all of this to be over soon! 😮‍💨

So yeah... That's how life is treating me atm 😅🤭 I do hope that your life is easier than this though! 😁❤️
