today is palestinian land day.

today in 1976, 6 unarmed palestinians were killed and over 100 others were injured by israeli forces during protests against the theft of their home.

today, even after 75 years of israeli occupation, they are still here. they are continuing to fight for their land, their history, their freedom.

today, we recognize the people of palestine and remind ourselves that we are still fighting and standing for palestine and we will not stop until a permanent ceasefire.

This petition is by Rashida Tlaib, a Palestinian American congresswoman. Please sign to urge Biden to stop sending aid and weapons to Israel.

There is a donation request afterwards but the signature itself just requires name email and zip. There is also an option to sign from outside the US and select your country. The petition is a little over 33,000 signatures away from its goal as of posting.

I have no illusions that this will change policy, but the public outcry against their actions must continue. Hi, hello, it's been... [checks calendar] ...a long time! 🫣👋

This year, I made a little goal for myself to get back into making pose sets. I dropped off the planet because of Things and I'm working on myself to get better. (that's a goal everyone should strive for but remember, progress looks different and not clear cut.) Anyway, enough about that, let's talk about this.

I wanted to get something out in time for Valentine's Day and I thought "wtf do I want to do this year?" and turns out it's pin-ups -- and I've made my self imposed deadline by a LOT. I've actually had this idea for years but I never followed up on it for some strange reason -- probably bc it was above my skill level at the time. That and it gives me an excuse to have my sims in the bare minimum. Guys can be a little slutty, as a treat. 😉

How many poses?

Notes:

For the sofa poses, there's 2 of them that will clip if you use a higher backed one, the arms will clip through; the lower backed ones will have them floating. I used the Plush Luxe sofa from the Desert Luxe kit, but there's plenty of other medium height sofas to choose from.

As far as clipping is concerned, I don't really anticipate it aside from one pose (the booty grab pose on the bed), but every sim body is different so if that's the case, you're welcome to adjust it.

And yes! They can serve as nudes too.😏

Hi all, I really wrestled with myself over posting this but one of my very closest friends provided me with the wisdom, encouragement, and resolve to swallow my pride and ask for help again.

As some of you may know, I’ve been struggling financially for quite some time now. In recent months, my household has barely been able to make it paycheck to paycheck. Usually, we end up negative a couple days before payday and can overdraw (only on my account) a bit in the meantime, but currently, we are negative $100 in my bank account (which means I can’t overdraw any more) and only have $100 in my boyfriend’s bank account to make it to next Friday (which will not work because we have over $200 worth of bills due to hit in a couple of days as well as we’re currently running out of essential household items). On top of that, my cat has a cyst in her ear that just ruptured yesterday and definitely requires immediate medical attention to prevent it from becoming a major health issue for her. Both of us have been picking up tons of extra hours at work as we can, but my boyfriend is currently in a row with HR because his company has been paying him incorrectly and hours are getting more and more scarce at my job, so it’s just not enough, especially with our rent going up over $100 with our lease renewal last month. Without…something, I won’t even be able to afford to go to work to make the money to get us out of this predicament. It just feels like we’re just endlessly drowning all the time, and it’s getting so hard to stay afloat.

So this is me begging for a lifeline because I don’t see any other option. If anyone has absolutely anything to spare, I would appreciate it more than you can possibly know. I don’t know how much we need to keep our heads above water right now, but literally anything helps!!! And if you can’t donate, (which I completely understand bc times are mf tough out here) if you’d be able to just reblog or spread the word, that’s more than enough.

The Death Toll of the Earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria may have reached 20,000 people, and that’s outside of all those who are injured and lost.

Islamic Relief:  teams are on the ground right now providing emergency food assistance, shelter, medical supplies to hospitals and clinics, as well as blankets and tents for those made homeless by the quake in Turkey and Syria

Molham: The team at Molham are currently on the ground helping displaced families in Turkey and Syria who have been affected by the earthquake   

Turkish Red Crescent: The team are distributing essential aid to those affected by the earthquake across Turkey.

The White Helmets: The team are on the ground in Northwest Syria searching for survivors and removing the dead from the rubble.

Turkey Mozaik Foundation: Attempting to provide immediate relief and medium to long term recovery to survivors of the earthquake. 

MSF: remaining in close contact with the local authorities in northwestern Syria and with the authorities in Turkey to extend their support where it’s needed. They’re providing essential life kits to displaced people in the region
