Or should I call you "Malak"? I find it ironic that you would use that name, after everything- imagine my surprise, when I first heard it! "My angel", from the mouth of a stranger who had just arrived on the Material Plane.

Who are you now? Oathbreaker, fallen, stranger. What have you become? Who do you fight for?

Mishal has deemed me worthy of continuing on, despite your actions. Even in his slumber, he was able to save me. His generosity came with a price- I am dying, always, ever so slowly. I carry your wounds and they tear me apart every waking moment.

I am haunted by the memory of you.

Perhaps it is foolish for me to hope that it goes both ways, that you are haunted by the memory of me. I remember praying, in my last moments, that I would haunt you for the rest of your days.

Even now, I am at war with myself over sending this letter. There is no point in rambling on about things long burned and buried. But as you're well aware, I always did need to have the last word.
