FAQ

What is this project?

This project is an animated pilot for @thisanimatedphantom and @mercowe 's fanfic @theinkymystery , ran by @patchwork-artists "Patchwork" as the producer and @whatsafelony "Felony" as the codirector. We are animating the beggining chapters as a volunteer passion project!

Will there be more episodes?

No, this is a one-episode only. It is not intended to be picked up by a studio, either. These characters are copyrighted characters and we do not claim them nor owe them, so we can not do further than this.

Where will the pilot be released?

At our youtube channel!

When will it be released?

If everything goes according to the calendar, we plan for it to release one week before christmas.

Can I join?

Yes, you can! Simply join our discord server if we are calling for any animators, editors or subtitlers! As of currently(30/3/24) we have both "Background Oc entries" and "Call for animators(experienced and non-experienced)" open!

Can I just watch it being made?

Also yes! On our server we have a tourist role that allows you to observe everything without participating!

How can we support the project?

Please talk about it! We fear it being recieved as a product to be consumed, only seen once and then forgotten about to be left in the dust, which is very upsetting for everyone who has been working on this project all year long! We need to spread it and let it be known, engage with the art, show excitement, talk about it! Be as passionate about it as we are making it!

How can I know of more news?

We will begin posting more about it on this tumblr, so follow to stay tuned on things related to it! If you post any art related to it or your storyboards, don't be shy to tag us!

Here’s more for this Lost Toys “AU” This weeks edition: The Cupbros.

Starring Cuphead as the toy soldier figurine and Mugman as the toy knight figurine.

For this Lost Toys AU each character is designed to be a certain toy I believe reflects their personality and situations in IM. For the cupbros I decided to make Cup a soldier to represent his willingness to obey a higher power. Or, rather, his fear of the outcome if he disobeys. I then chose Mugman to be a knight to represent his willingness to pursue freedom in comparison to his brother. Also because Calix Animi. Plus Cuphead’s willingness to go to extremes to survive. And mugman wanting to change and persue chivalry, honor, good morals, etc, etc.

Never mind the fact I pretty much dressed up Cuphead as my first fictional crush… ahem… 👀

I’ll have to get into backstories at a later time but that is all I have for the time being!

Holy cussing stars the time this took so I could learn how to render wood, chipped wood, ceramic, and cloth textures. 😫

Because every soldier needs his lovely princess to protect, here’s Holly as a ceramic princess doll! Kudos to @sirensea14 for the design idea. I made a few edits to her original sketch, but largely the design belongs to her!

I don’t think there’s enough time for me to babble about everything my friends and I have talked about for these two, but the idea is Cuphead and Mugman protect their lovers as a soldier and knight would. It felt only fitting for Holly to be a personification of a “Tree Princess” for him to protect. Her being made of china would make her all the more delicate and she’d have to worry about not cracking. So of course Cuphead would take that upon himself to fiercely protect her and make sure she stays safe! Even at the extend of his own safety

AKA why I made him look so banged up is 1. from roughing it out in the woods (more later on the world building) and 2. a lot of accidents in his efforts to protect her and AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHTHEY’RESOCUTEEEEE!!!!

Im gabbing so much about this AU you have no idea!!!!

Oh. I should probably mention this is for Lost Toys AU. That might be a good idea to mention that lol.

I’m mostly doing character design before sharing actual plot. Once everything is fleshed out i think we can start sharing storylines.

Heya! No worries at all. We don't sell IM books so it's not a problem. I made a pdf of book one but any books people have gotten have come from them taking that pdf to shops that will print files for you. We are not earning any money.

Thought I'd introduce her,

Say hello, to miss twisted! She takes the role of Bendy's sister in both The race swap au and the prince of hell au!

In prince off hell (along with his brother.)

And race swap (this one was a quick sketch of her design)

A twisted and evil demon and a fearless angel who fights for what she thinks she's right!

Both having a brother who completely goes off his way to do the worst things they could ever imagine! But they can't do anything about it because in both versions, bendy is too stubborn to give up or listen.

(imagine twist's surprise when she finds out her brother is now a NICE demon!!! And he even has the audacity to say thank you and please and let himself be pushed around by some pitiful surface dwellers!!!)

There with be a DJ music man, mini music men, endoskeletons, Bonnie, and Vanny. And I have yet to draw up their designs but I’ll try my best to get those done. (Tbh I might end up drawing them and repost with this ask. Or if a diff ask about them comes up i might put the drawing with that. Idk. We’ll see)

And Holly’s in this one yes. She’s kinda important. Especially to the ships I have in mind. You’ll see her soon…
