A hobbit living in her own little world, obsessing over everything and anything she loves, and fueling her little crushes because damn it, do i need my distractions to prevent my head from being stuck in heartache central all the time 😂🤦♂️

What I've observed is that the premise of Bridgerton is mainly “what if every man we show you was just super obsessed with his wife” and honestly that is a worthwhile story to tell
have you ever thought about this scene not in the way like "what-the-fuck-is-going-on" but "what-is-the-meaning-of-creative-decision-to-highlight-oswald-and-ed-with-red-colour"?
"the lighting is red just because it's red" - NO. such bright and colourful lighting is a artistic way to show someone`s fellings and emotions not through dialogues or another obviously ways to tell about something but through the colourful light. and the red colour here is a symbol, a metaphor for sexual desire and aggression.
the funniest part is the source of the light. it comes from oswald, so you might think that he chose the color and direction of light but as oswald is ed's hallucination, the color and direction of light is the choice of ed's mind.
so it means that aggression and sexual desire are ed's feelings! ed's angry at oswald, ed's mad on his own mind for making hallucinations with his main enemy and, especially, for making such crazy-indecent hallucinations. ed's furious that on his way of finding he's true self he just can't without talking to the person he hates the most.
this aggression creates sexual tension between ed and oswald. the way they used to do a lot of different things for each other, their intimate conversations and accidental physical contacts – these were all manifestations of romantic tension. only after that "isabella thing" (more like "conflict situation") their romantic feelings evolve into sexual tension.
did you noticed that sexual desire wasn't mentioned? sexual tension are for both of them, but sexual desire is for only one – ed. did you also notice that oswald didn't try to kill ed with his own hands? he called victor fries for that, while ed killed oswald by himself. trying to kill someone with your own hands is a sign of sexual desire.
and it's all told to us by a red light!
p.s. i have a little off-topic remark. so after writing about this scene i started to think that oswald is more romantic than ed, while ed is more interested in sex than oswald.
One of the funniest things about enemies-to-lovers ships is how they’re almost always obsessed with each other. Like if a character actively chooses to interact with another character over and over again instead of simply ignoring them? Throw darts at it all you want, but you still printed out a picture of them to hang on your wall
